And how is Mrs Lurkio doing?
Have to count......... 20 whole months :T :T :Tand I KNOW I've smoked my last cigarette
Mrs L is not doing too well, sadly. Now back in to the cycle of "When x is over I'll stop", but as everyone who has tried to quit before knows, something else comes along and then it's "Oh well when y is over etc etc"Kills me to watch it.......

20 months!
Do you count yourself as a 'non-smoker' yet???
I kind of feel I will always be a 'smoker' but just one that chooses not to smoke (sometimes I make no sense at all do I!)

Just over 27 hours without smoking. Not doing too bad, keep forgetting I don't smoke anymore but this has made me realise a lot of the fags smoked were purely out of habit and sometimes I would light up without even thinking about it. Read somewhere that it takes 30 days to form a new habit so does it take the same to get out of a habit?Quit date 27th March 2008360 cigarettes not smoked £90 saved0

Thanks mfd and Bellie
Yes, I do! And did so really early on. I had tried and failed many times (I had been a smoker for a lot of years - ageingbiker might even class me as a 'proper' smoker), but this time it just clicked. I found the method that worked for me. You all will too. Never stop trying.......

Well done mumzy - one more hurdle over with!
I haven't worn a patch today and apart from feeling a bit dizzy I have been fine. I went to the supermarket at lunchtime and it didn't bother me walking past the cigarette counter.
I am going home soon - good luck for the weekend everyone, I have a busy one planned so I probably won't be around much.
Everyone should be proud of where they are at the moment and if anyone falls off the wagon over the weekend then just remember that we will still be here to give support next week.
Take care all
