I've got a smokers cough now, after I've quit
Had 2 teachers tell me to quit today because of the cough.

The coughing is just getting rid of all the nasty stuff and the little hairs growing back.

Keep it up :T the teachers are right about some things :D

So many new names here, won't say anything personal until I get to know you all, but in general:

Stay strong, keep your goal in mind, and stay quit! :)

Hello! Thought I'd join in as I'm attempting to give up too. I managed 5 days without them last week, and then the bank holiday weekend hit and I got through a couple of packets. Now, since yesterday, I'm trying again. I've got no social plans for this weekend, so I reckon I might just do it this time!

I tried a couple of months ago, using the nicotine gum, but failed miserably so this time I'm going cold turkey.

I've been smoking for 12 years, am very unfit, get pains in my chest, and have come to the conclusion that if I want to get past 50, I need to do something about it quick. I want kids in the next couple of years and never thought I would be a smoking mother, so better to give up before they come in to the equasion!

I'm flat broke at the moment and living off credit cards so can't put the money in a pot but am keeping a record of what I'm saving in a spreadsheet, and then will put that amount towards paying a bit of my debts off when I get paid!

Thank you! I feel healthier already! I found that because I was always out of breath when excercising, it make me not want to do it, whereas if I feel generally healthier I am more likely to start excercising again. With that in mind, I am off to join my local swimming baths this weekend.

    Thats great :)

It amazes me how much easier I find PE after a quit, and how much more enjoyable it is.
