Nice one AB, I've just done my CO and got 0 for the third week running, though did go dog training in a field this morning and been on first aid duty at Portman Road this afternoon, so had all day getting lungs full of fresh air. Makes you feel good to get a good count doesn't it.
Had a bad afternoon, a casualty died on me. Really felt like a ciggie when I got home but resisted the urge and have now completed 6 weeks.
Hope the rest of you are still succeeding,
Best of luck all,
MarkNearly there! Been struggling for 7 years but the results are showing. :j0 -

Hello All
I have come crawling back after complete failure! It's bl00dy hard this quitting lark isn't it
So I went to see the nurse on Friday about giving up 'for good' she has prescribed me the patches and I am now back on day 2 (although I haven't picked up my patches yet - they are more about dealing with the dizzy spells than anything else).
I had a co2 count of 6, which she said was consistent with smoking the 2 or 3 a day that I had been smoking
So I am back here, back on the wagon and absolutely determined to kick em for good this time. This is the first time I have gone down the nicotine replacement and blowing into the machine route so I am hoping that haveing to report to someone will make the world of difference.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

Thanks ab. No other smokers just me and my complete lack of willpower. I am great when there are people around but crumble when I am alone. It's not about not telling anybody though - I am quite honest about when I lapse, it's just about it only being myself that I am affecting.
Oh well- no point looking back, I'm on day 2 :Tplease listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
mfd remember when you found a pack of cigs and put them in your car, what happened did you throw them? the reason i ask is as you kept them you cant have really wanted to quit coz if you did you would have destroyed them right away. you must instill in your brain all the good things about quitting and remember just one puff will put you back, ive said a prayer to st jude for you. be strongsmoke free since 16 feb 080
