Well done to everyone you all seem to be going so well. I've decided to quit on non smoking day next wednesday so I'm in preparation mode at the moment.

Hi to KYH, pineapple_head, MFD, Mark & Rossy,
Congratulations to you all (even for making that pledge pineapple_head! Go for it next Wednesday, we'll be with you!) - no matter how far you've travelled, you're still well on that journey even if it's only 1 day, it's still a day closer to a far healthier and cleaner you.
You are doing great kyh and as well as having the knowledge of healthier lungs you're counting the £s and don't they mount up QUICKLY!!! The same goes for you Mark and so you should be feeling so very proud of yourself, it's so very well deserved! What an incentive you have Michaela, it makes such a difference to have something to occupy yourself.
Glad I can help MFD, I know what a struggle it is at first and even the decision to quit itself is tough to make, so I can appreciate just what you've all given/giving up and what you're going through right now, just trust me that it really does get easier and far more quickly than you think! So you had another little blip the day before yesterday (quite forgiveable at that time of the month) but then went the whole of yesterday without one again!!!! Good on you indeed!!!!:T
The further you go the less the cravings last and if you think of something good (a great memory, walk, holiday) then you'll wonder how it went away......so quickly! I promise.
Keep going everyone, you know that together you CAN do it and succeed.

Thanks for your kind words Sue. Encouragement is such a HUGE support. Every time I think of caving in I look to those that I will be letting down including you DFWs.
How's the greenhouse coming along Michaela? 1 week today :T . Keep going.
Hannah prdicts that we will only be £20 in debt at the end of this month (though this is likely to slip to £100). I think that not spending £200 pm on fags has helped! Great incentive there. We may even be able to afford a holiday this year for the first time since 2004.
Keep enjoying the fresh air, the tastes & smells and that you don't smell like an ashtray anymore.
Best wishes to all

Mark -congrats on 5 weeks - the extra money is great isn't it!!
Sue - thanks for helping us all with your support!
Well day 7 today, went to the clinic last night for my weekly chat and to get my new patches. £36.75 saved so far! Tomorrow will be hard as I am going out socially for the first time to a wedding - might have to take my knitting to keep my hands busy - do you think the bride would be offended?!

Hi everyone. I think you're all doing really well, and if anyone falls off the wagon just jump straight back on. I've been stopped over 3 months now and I feel loads better for it. I haven't been putting the cash aside, but can tell from my bank balance that it is looking much healthier!!! And whereas when I smoked I put my breathlessness down to smoking, but now I haven't got that excuse any more I can see that I am just really unfit and need to get fit.
Anyway, Continued good luck to all-we can do this!!!!GE 36 *MFD may 2043
