MFD-- could be any one of us Im sure. Pick yourself, brush yourself down and try again!
They are all jealous that you are so much stronger than they are. I did my usual friday night trick of having a few drags- had about half a ciggy in 2 or 3 goes, pathetic I know but I'm a month smoke free now, Well I have just read that and can I call myself smoke free? I must have had about 6 or 7 cigarettes in month (5 in one night). I know this is why I still get cravings, because the nicotine is never being goven the chance to fully get out of my body. It just had so many connotations in my mind its hard toget through the weekend with out. It even hurts though to smoke so at least I'm recognising this..... I just remembered - I FOUND a packet of cigarettes this morning! Came into work and they were just lying there in the car park. I was the first one in, and anyway there are only 4 of us here and nobody smokes Marlboro Lights (except me!)
All those times when I would have loved to have found a nearly full pack of cigarettes and as soon as I try to give up there is a packet just lying on the floor for me!
Just picked them up, checked how many in there (about 16ish) and chucked them inside the car. Suppose I should throw them, don't know where they have been and how long they have been lying in the car park.
skintbutsmiling - I was going to put my counter back to 0 and start all over again - maybe I will be 7 days with 1 blip for now!please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
MFD - i am sure we are all going to have blips along the way don't feel bad about it, get those cigarettes out of the car and throw them away - they will just be a temptation! I have found today (day3 ) harder than I thought. I imagined being at work with a load of non smokers would be easier than being at home with hubby who is a smoker but have really missed my odd 5 mins outside with a ciggy! Hey ho just thinking to myself about the £15.75 saved so far - have to keep reminding myself why I am doing it - money and health!!
Keep at it MFD - we will all get there together!

Keep at it KYH - I know what you mean about work, it was nice to just have a few minutes to yourself. But it's really not worth it!
I think I found day 3 one of the hardest - I was having dizzy spells and felt terrible. I just kept thinking if this is what it is doing to me coming out of me imagine what it would do if I left it in there...
(the nicotine I mean...)
Well done on getting to day 3 :T :Tplease listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

have really missed my odd 5 mins outside with a ciggy!
Hi,
I haven't actually read any of this thread yet but had to sick my two penn'orth in before I forget.
I'm now on day 14 of not smoking, having read the Allen Carr book:j
My little tip to you, kyh, is to take that 5 mins outside anyway. I take my coffee outside for my ciggy break and it feels (almost) the same as when I smoked. It's not the cigarette that gives you the break, it's that change of scenery and walking away from the grindstone for 5 minutes that gives you the break. Good luck.0 -

You sound like me Rossy - keep at it. Just keep thinking that it needs to come out of you if you are going to beat it.
Well done:T
Mumzy - tomorrow is another day but you need to stop buying them if you are going to stop smoking them! For me at least, if I buy 10 I will smoke 10. well done everyone. we're all doing really well and even if some of us have stumbled a little, we all have little stumbles and near misses. Just pick yourselves up dust yourself down and carry on-lesson learned. So I think we've all done well, just need to keep it up. Continued good luck to all.GE 36 *MFD may 2043
