ha ha that's funny- been so busy this week driving all over the country and working at night in Hotel rooms that have barely had time to breathe, sleep or eat !!

  • (((hugs))) basilcat - don't give up. Make sure you are being honest with yourself, because in the end you are the only person who you are doing it for.

The only thing that is stopping me slipping is not having any access to cigarettes, if I did I know I would be 'oh just half of one won't hurt'. Is there any way you can put them beyond your reach? (I know this is storing up a problem for later for me but I am hoping I am strong enough to cope with it when I am faced with an option to have a cigarette).

I did 5 weeks without and felt great for most of it- then slipped up once- that has lead to more and more......

Now I'm back from my travels this week I'm back at home with OH so won't smoke again until ?? Away with work again next week though so temptation is always going to be there........

bas - :naughty: pick that head up AT ONCE!

This is exactly where you are going wrong IMO. Don't read it again, just pick up where you left off, get to the end and do what he says. Just tell me you will get to the end of the book by the beginning of next week - please? No pressure to DO anything, just finish reading :A

  • I've finally managed to get to day 12:T :T

does anyone have a cure for severe jaw ache though from chewing sooo much gum:rolleyes:

other than that i feel pretty good, but i ain't counting my chickens just yet. This is (no exageration) about the 60th time i've attempted to give up over the last 25 years:o
The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter :(
  • The end of the book to me was such a disappointment- that sort of stuff - I just dont get! I will try it again- but its an excuse to smoke!
I am absolutely fine till I am in the company of smokers ... Will be in a room with 5 of them tonight- hopefully it will put me off- but I'm not confident...
