    Morning people, bad news I caved in and went to tesco last night and bought 10, I felt better instantly! The good news is that I haven't smoked any of them, I just carry them around with me and I don't really want to smoke one anyway as I'll just feel dizzy and sick!!

    I will just have to see how it goes! Anyway today is day 3 and I'm still a little narky but not as narky as I have been! Having a packet of cigs with me is my comfort blanket!:D

    :T :T :T

    Well done kate. Yesterday will have been your worst day (but be prepared for a wobble around day 5 and another at around 4 weeks ;))

    Make it throgh the next few hours and the nicotinre willl be GONE. Hope fully forever!

    Hi Eshka :wave: welcome and well done on making the decision!

    It's a funny thing. You are convinced you are free after four weeks and I don't know if it is complacency or what, but sooooo many people have a smoke four weeks in to their quit (I think I've done it myself on one of my many previous efforts), to 'finally prove' that they are over it. Of course, all it does is drag them back in.....

    You at least, Bas, have recognised it and redoubled your efforts. Well done

    I'm just at a crossroads, either I want to smoke or I don't..

    Thanks guys!

    Does smoking make anyone else as lazy as me? Putting stuff off in favour of ''Oooooh I'll just have a coffee/tea and wee smoke, THEN I'll wash the dishes/do some laundry/etc etc''......lol!

    Yep that's me Eshka, and then it works the other way too, Ill finish the ironing then I'll have a cuppa and a smoke. Little rewards to see me through the day.

    Cobblers, you'll be ferritting around in your bag with a box of Englands Glory at the ready before the weeks out.

    :rotfl::rotfl: Now that's positivity isn't it?!

    I've been to the pub for lunch today and still not smoked!! :T I am dreading the little wobbles though, I will hopefully get through them but I'm feeling weaker as time goes by! I will just take it day by day though (or hour by hour) and if I fail then I can always start again!!

  • Please can I join you, I think I am going to need the help!

    I tried to stop smoking when this thread first started and failed miserably but decided last week enough was enough.

    I went to the docs and he gave me Champix but I really don't know too much about it. Please can anyone who has taken it tell me their experiences of it.

    I have had my week and am due to stop tomorrow...yikes.

    The only difference so far is that I still want a cig but don't want to smoke it all...is this normal?
