Hi tattycat and well done.
Day 10 for me and so far so good. Cravings are not so bad as last time and feel ok. Jo know what you mean about complaceny creeping in. Think and feel different this time though. All for the better
Good luck to everyone

Hi Tattycath and welcome! You are doing brilliantly! I know what it's like to quit with a smoker around - my OH and his son both smoke so I'm surrounded by it at home all the time. Them going outside is not an option unfortunately. But I honestly think if you're in the right frame of mind it doesn't matter. I barely notice it any more.
yellowmonkey you are doing fantastic too - so pleased for you. You have so got the right attitude! I just know you will stick to it.
How are you doing mumzy and frugaljo? Mumzy have you read any of the book or tried the CD? What about the book that TNG sent? I know it's hard but it would be so good to not be doing that to your baby hun.
Big Ears - don't know when you'll be back but hopefully things are getting sorted out with the house and you're okay.
Sorry I've not been on for a while - have raging toothache. Been to the dentist once but they haven't sorted it. Still in agony.QUIT SMOKING 4/11/07 :j0 -
Just a little update from me, but first a massive hug for BigEars - hope you work through everything ok.
It is now 15 months since I gave up my 40-a-day habit. Not every day since quitting has been easy and I haven't particularly noticed an improvement in my finances. I can say however that I do feel so much better than I did this time last year.
For all those who are giving up, thinking about giving up, have just given up, or have been quit for any length of time - I just want to wish every single one of you success in ditching the fags. You can do it, you really can.I'm the only gay in this forum

Thanks Jo,
I kept meaning to pop back in, but I was a little hesitant to; I don't want people to think I am boasting to be honest. I'm really pleased I have come this far, but I really do appreciate that it is a damn hard thing for 99.99% of smokers to do.I'm the only gay in this forum

Notanothergreyhair, you are no way boasting, just showing people where they will be in 15 months time! This thread is for people that haven't quit yet or been quit 20 years+ and all those in between
Keep on popping back and giving all the newer quitters any advice you can think of and giving us your progress
