  • Hey Mumzy,
Huge congratulations on the pregnancy!! How old are the two you have already? Hope the pregnancy treats you well and just wanted to add that when I was pregnant earlier this year I was prescribed nicotine patches from the Dr (via the midwife)
Needless to say they didnt get used and its only now that ive managed to quit but everyones different and just wanted to let you know that if you want them then you can get them from the doc.

Congrats to everyone here, youre all doing great!
I find it so motivating to see how much money ive saved so far and took my kids shopping last week as a treat,ok im in debt and shouldnt have but I felt id achieved something and deserved a reward lol

Best go...8am on a sunday morning isnt the best time to be sat at the pc

    Bye guys and well done

    How we all doing today??

Got a fun-filled day planned, full of amazing things like shopping, cooking, cleaning, washing etc. So much fun!!!

Still, I'm on a first aid course for the next 4 days so only have to go to work on Friday this week :j plus, it's literally a 2 min drive from my house :j :j

Well hi there my friends :hello: it's my second day  and still keeping strong!! I woke up at 3am in pain so had to get up - I really could have done with a ciggy then!! I often don't sleep through the night and I would usually have a few then (as I don't go back to bed) but perhaps I think that a smoke will ease the pain! But I got through it and I didn't take the patch off last night.

This morning I was feeling ok, still strange having my first coffee without the cig! The house is a lot warmer I notice and there is no stale smell - even though I only smoked in the conservatory with the window open some still lingered through really. It would hit me in the morning and then I would open the windows to let the fresh air through!

I really have cut down with the coffee - I am such a coffee junkie, and by this time I would have drunk 10 mugs of coffee easily as I would have to have a sip with my smoke!!

I bought a lovely chicken with my butcher yesterday and it has just come out of the oven :D.

I do feel a lot calmer today strangely enough and haven't had a pang really at all, although as I said during the night I really honestly could have lapsed if there was a cig about, and I never went back to bed - surprising I feel so good today!

Oh Frugaljo, I wish you could have joined me and mumsy! Do you have any patches FJ??

Jo1972 you are very busy with all your shopping and cleaning etc etc!! Where do you find the time??:D

I'm hoping the rest of the day will be as good as I feel at the moment ... No popping to the shop if I feel a moment of weakness ... it is FORBIDDEN  :D

It's gone 5pm and for the past hour off and on I have been craving but haven't given in and gone out!! Strange as I've been ok all day ... I have got undressed so if I were to think about going down the shop I would have to get dressed first ;)! I just keep thinking how disappointed I would feel if I did such a stupid thing, and the first one would be horrible anyway ... feeling light headed .... sick ... and I'd smell ...

:T :T :T Oh Well done tobruk!!! So very proud of you!!!:j Come on , you can do this, you are stronger than you think!!! You will feel so much better!! Its an addiction and nothing else!! Smoking does not calm you, it actually makes you worse!! So if you find yourself wanting one just say to yourself "I am going to kill off this nicotine monster in my stomach, I WILL NOT let him win, smoking does nothing for me and only makes me misrable!!!" You will get through this Tobruk and you will feel proud of yourself!!!:D :j

Thanks jo, well I'm ok, was feeling shakey earlier to be honest but I can't lapse now. I am quite surprised as I have actually cut my coffee intake so much! I would usually have a mug in hand all the time but now I don't!

Gosh, glad I don't have the window open tonight as it is blowing a gale out there!!:D
