That's fantastic Tobruk!! :j Just take it one day at a time (or one visit to the shop at a time!!) You come on here and spout as much as you like. That's what we're here for. It really helps you offload, some people may have suggestions on how to deal with things that you're finding difficult PLUS you give the ones just starting some idea of what to expect and they realise that what they're feeling is completely normal! You can see how far you've come when you read it back too - and feel very proud of yourself!QUIT SMOKING 4/11/07 :j0

Welcome Emma, good luck for your quit, you are in the best place
Look forward to getting to know you
TOBRUK!! Well done so far :j we are all behind you every step of the way, I'm so proud of you!
Good luck to Jo and Mumsy too :T
I hope everyone's else is good, I've been so busy today, had a nightmare few days. Had my bank card cloned and apparently I've been having a wonderful time in Slovenia, which is nice. But unfortunately this means my card has now been cancelled and I've not got the new one yet and it was payday yesterday, so had to queue in the bank for ages this morning to get money out, then missed the post office to get my car tax so it's untaxed till Monday
Just wanted to log on quick to see if Tobruk decided 1/12 was deffo the day!
Gotta shoot, gotta go do a mystery shop now and pick up the car from the garage (he passed his MOT this morning :T :T :T what a good boy), then pick DH up and do the weekly shop
I'll pop back in later as I'm going to spend the evening online doing some work online to get a bit of xmas money!

xxThankyou Jo
Just wanted to log on quick to see if Tobruk decided 1/12 was deffo the day!I did have a pang about half an hour ago, even though I have a patch on, but even if I had given into it, it would have been too dangerous to have a smoke with the patch on! So it is like having another reason not to I suppose
I do hope Frugaljo and mumzy has bitten the bullet and gone for it, although I would have enjoyed (yes I did say enjoy) a cig half an hour ago! However, one thing I have noticed ... it is much warmer in the house today because I had the window of the conservatory open so much when I did light up!
Wow Jo ... you have had a day and a half of it - that would have been enough for me to ... oopsno I wouldn't have! How long will it take to get sorted at the bank? Being without a card is so inconvenient! If I could get my hands on them they'd think twice about cloning anyone !!
Oh and thank you elle for your kind words of support.:)
Anyway hi to everyone else :hello:0 -
jo, you poor thing. The wonders of modern technology, eh  Hope your account is sorted quickly and you get a new card before it all becomes even more inconvenient and hassle for you.
Tobruk you are doing brilliantly. One pang at a time, it's the only way!
No sign of Frugaljo or Mumzy yet.... Did the book arrive Mumzy?QUIT SMOKING 4/11/07 :j0 -

yellowmonkey well done on 3 days :T JoeHel, yes it is one pang at a time
however I think I'm doing ok ... touch wood! I am finding it strange tonight ... usually I'm going out to the conservatory every time I had a ciggy and I would miss a lot of the tv programme, usually the crucial part!!!

mumzyof2, it isn't easy - I'm having pangs now and I have a patch on!! Do you think that maybe the doc would give you something to help (I have heard people getting patches etc on prescription although I haven't tried) you quit - under the circumstances.
How are you feeling about it? I can tell you that I could easily have a cig now but every time I'm thinking about it, I think well a smoke will only last a couple of minutes (until I roll another, and another ...) and I'll stink ... the house will be cold with the window or door open .... my fingers would really smell .....0
