Well day 6 draws to a close. Worst day so far for me for cravings. Mind you I have had about 10 bottles of Stella so if I can get through this I will be Ok. Will settle down and watch Oz and James's wine adventure and read a bit of Allen Carr that TNG sent me and get through to the morrow.

All the best to you all.

Well made it through to day 7. Struggled a bit yesterday but i realised that as I HAVE given up why think about fags. I dont smoke so why worry and fret about having one. Time to get on and enjoy my life. Not waste my time thinking about them.

BigEars. Nice to hear from you hope everything is Ok.

    Good wishes to you all.

Good luck for the scan Mumzy, don't worry yourself too much yet, it's unlikely they would be able to detect a heartbeat until around 8 weeks. Occassionaly they can see it from 6 weeks but they usually call you in nearer the 8 to get a more accurate scan. I'll be thinking of you, make sure you let us know what happens.

YM, you are doing so well, 7 days is the time to say 'I must remember to not become complacent' as over the next couple of weeks the cravings will not be as close and when one hits you may not be ready, so take all the precautions you can, i.e. keep reading the links on page 1 of this thread, get the Allen Carr/Neil Casey out etc etc and keep the knowledge to banish complacency!!

    Hope everyone else is well?

    xx

Hi Everyone. Hope you don't mind me dropping in. I was ill in february and gave up the weed for 6 months!!! then... stupidly let stress coerce me into starting again. However. I have just had the most awful last couple of months with various different happenings and events knocking us for 6!!! I have been in bed for 4 days-completely run down and a total wreck. On a positive note, I haven't had a cigarette since saturday, so I am on my 5th day (coughing like a good'un). OH is still smoking but I've gone cold turkey again and hopefully with support will stay not smoking!!! Good luck with everyone else who is trying to quit!!!

Hi there Cath, welcome to the thread  sorry I've not been around much but I've been on a course this week and not really been logging on much.

You are doing great, it's often that people quit smoking after being ill as they feel too bad to smoke so that's a good couple of steps up the ladder! The cough is a great sign, your body is repairing itself :D

Keep up the great work and keep us updated.

I do read the posts at work so keep posting, unfortunately I can't really log on to post at the moment as I've got a new job and don't wanna take the **** at the moment :D:D

Good luck and speak to you soon.

    Hope everyone else is ok??
