The Giving Up Smoking Thread!!

TNG noooooooooooooooooooooooo…… we can give this up anytime we want to, right? Do you think they will have to bring out MLRT (Martin Lewis replacement therapy!) when hordes of people realise they are addicted to this site, and shopping in normal shops instead of online, via Quidco, with money-off vouchers, is making them break out in hives?!:p
To be fair, any addiction that managed to overrule my fag addiction is OK by me

I'm ok thanks BE. Thought things were getting back to normal (with Mrs T), but Sunday was a bit stressful again. Having some slight trouble with a friend, too, but I'm hoping that is all sorted out now.....

Awww TNG I’m sorry to hear you’ve had a stressful weekend with Mrs TNG…:grouphug: I’m sure she doesn’t mean to take it out on you – it’s a compliment really that she feels you’re the only one she can stress to (I keep using that line on my OH but he won’t go for it. Sigh!)
Might I recommend a quick dose of Curly Wurly to the affected party? Or run her a lovely bath, give her a glass of wine (NB this option is good as if she still doesn’t relent, you can always push her under the water – hehe! NB: ONLY KIDDING, I don’t advocate domestic violence in any way shape or form – unless against my OH – and I’m pretty sure TNG isn’t that kind of a hubby):rotfl:

I’m cool thanks, very relaxed weekend, mainly taken up by the discovery of colours and more pictures! Spent ages looking for some unusual smilies on the web but can’t seem to get them to work on this site. I’m going to have to go cold turkey on this thread tomorrow as work’s going to be pretty busy and I just know I’m going to miss it so much!!

Ok ok really didnt want to post this but i didnt quit ive had about 5 cigs im so not impressed with my self..only reason i didnt stop was coz my oh woke up in a bad mood.

Mumzy... Did that fag make your OH any less grumpy? Did it put you in a better mood?
OR did it just give you a 5 minute break from the situation? In which case you can get the same affect by going outside and kicking the wall (I know, I've been there!)
I know it's not what you want to hear but I've made all those same excuses myself. You CAN do this!!:money: You just need to believe that you want to. When he's doing your head in, go and make a cuppa. Not only will you be the nicest OH in the world earning valuable brownie points, but you'll also take yourself away for long enough to calm down. I promise!
