Hi TNG, that's for labour too. It's a laptop so apparently it costs more than a normal tower PC :(

    How you doing?

    xx

apparently, yeah  ;) tell me you haven't taken it to those "Where in the world" people

I'm doing great! I'm off on holiday in a few weeks and I've got all that time in the airport, on the plane, at the other airport and I won't be spending every minute thinking "How long before I can have a fag" :j :j :j :j

I too was looking for this thread yesterday:confused:

I can never be bothered to scroll through and find the thread so click search and type in 'smoking' and it's usually somewhere near the top!

Well done Jenchin and Mr Jenchin!! Keep coming back for support and tips, hope your weekend goes well!

TNG, I got a quote from some independent laptop repairers, holding out for summat a bit cheaper thou. PC world wouldn't repair it because I didn't buy it from them, they won't touch laptops that didn't come from them :( Have a lovely holiday :j

    Hi Peeps,

I'm Back. Sorry I haven't posted for a while, but things been very hectic at work.

Well, I still haven't had a ciggie, I still get the odd craving and moments of relapse when I think 'I'll just finish this, then I'll go and have a ciggie'. Then I remember that I DON'T SMOKE :D

Really could have done with one today, if only to stop me crying in front of the other contractors on site. I fell backwards off a ladder

Got a very bruised left shoulder/arm, stiff neck and a very sore left hip/buttock.

    Oh well, life goes on.

    Keep strong and speak soon

My arm from my shoulder to my elbow is a beautiful shade of 'black/blue/purple' very pretty

This past couple of days have been complete crap!!

And the test of all time happended last night.

My 13 year old son stayed at a friends house. The friends mum turned up at our house at 1.30am to say that the boys had climbed out of the bedroom window and disappeared. It turns out that the friend has a track record of disappearing when he got bored! Not excusing my son at all. They finally turned up at 5.30 this morning. Needless to say that being grounded until he is 21 is the last of his problems.

God did I ever feel like several fags last night!!!!

But I survived. If I can get through that then I think I must have cracked it.

Well that's it. I'm off to bed to catch up on much needed sleep.

Night, night. Sleep tight and keep strong :D

Glad to hear you are all still doing well with your attempts to stop smoking. At the risk of sounding a misery I STILL have the odd (very odd) moment of wanting a fag, but it usually only lasts a second or so. Thats after not smoking for 18months. I have to tell myself its a bit like being an alcoholic in as much as I can NEVER have just one cos that will have me back on 20 a day within a week.
Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)

OK Here I go, fourth attempt, with the words of Allen Carr and Neil Casey in my head, had last ever cigarette today 7.30 am.
Had a hellish week with one thing and another and I've had enough. Out of the ashes so to speak !
I'm armed with positive mental attitude and a will to live.

    Hi Everyone

I am not on Day 6 of not having a cigarette and I am finding it really difficult today.

I guess I just wanted some encouragement not to give up from those of you further ahead than me.

Pretty please...I REALLY don't want to give in now

    Cheers
    Kathy
