    :T WELL SAID Trickster!! :rotfl:

Well done Northern Money, you are still doing so well! :j

I am looking foward to the ban, hopefully it will lessen the cravings as I've not got to the point where I find the smell bad yet :o and find that I actually crave one when I smell one so going to the pub will be a more pleasent experience in a few weeks

    Hi Peeps,

I'm Back. Sorry I haven't posted for a while, but things been very hectic at work.

Well, I still haven't had a ciggie, I still get the odd craving and moments of relapse when I think 'I'll just finish this, then I'll go and have a ciggie'. Then I remember that I DON'T SMOKE :D

Really could have done with one today, if only to stop me crying in front of the other contractors on site. I fell backwards off a ladder

Got a very bruised left shoulder/arm, stiff neck and a very sore left hip/buttock.

    Oh well, life goes on.

    Keep strong and speak soon

  • hi all

i am now 56days fag-free, having not smoked 1308 fags, and saving about 300 quid according to my quitstats thingwy.

i am off the patches but still snorting away furiously on the nasal spray and to be honest quite panicking at the thhought of reducing it but at the same time wanting to? save that dilema for another day.

i turned down a date with a guy i had a fling with the other day and the conversation went' we must go for a drink' Me- 'mmmmm yeahhhh babes' then 'ohhhh eeek nahhh i'll give it a miss if you dont mind' cos he smokes ha ha , wasnt really feelin him anyway though but dont think he has been turned down cos he smokes before

i ament risking this quit for any man!!!

i got the daily mail the other day and they hhad an offer of send a chequ for 1.99 off for a glenn harold hhypnosis cd and i will go for that he has such a beautiful voice.

(apologies about the frequent hhh's! my h button must be extremely sensitive!)

hope everyone else is getting thhrouogh this ok and i cant wait for 1 july either...

well I thought I lost this thread - been looking for it for days  :rotfl:
Im still off the fags but having really bad cravings this week ( must be that time of the month  ) been extra moody and tearful too :(. On the good side though I have been stopped for a month and have saved over £150 :T Went to the smoking cessation clinic on Monday and they decided to keep me on the higher strength patches for another couple of weeks.
Im sick of the adverts for 1st July - reminds me about smoking every time i hear them :o
Great to hear you are all doing so well :T

Hi, never been on this thread and I don't smoke. But here is one to ponder for you. From 1 Jul all smoking onboard HM Ships and SUbmarines is banned completly. Now part of my job is going underwater solidly for 12 weeks. We do not come up in those 3 months. Can you imagine how those lads will feel? Anyway some of them have had laser treatment in the ear (paid for by the Navy) and one lad is taking them to court on the premis of his human rights being violated. That will present an interesting outcome.

Im in already stopped way back in April been 8 weeks, had a few cigs when ive been out drinking thats my downfall so far but other than that im smoke free.
I have tried to stop before but never accomplished this target so far, in the 8 weeks of no smoking i have saved £280 (well i've spent it on other things) but i wouldn't have been able to get them if i was still smoking. Started on the green tea aswell, so im turning into right little health freak and also taking hold off my debts. Strange things happen when you start getting older

    Hi all,

I'm so glad you are all doing so well :T

Dragon, hope the bruises subside quickly - that must've been quite a fright, I'm not surprised you wanted a fag after that! Well done for keeping strong

FBS, poor you not dating that guy cos he smokes. Maybe you'll feel strong enough in a few weeks, although you probably won't wanna snog him if he smells like an ashtray :rotfl:

Oops, staying on the higher strength patches is not a bad thing, it shouldn't be rushed cos then there's more chance you'll go back. You are doing so well! Have you saved your money or was it money that you didn't have but managed to find anyway ;)

Lenny, I really do feel for those people down underwater, I used to find it bad enough going in an airplane for 2 hours lol!! Although did they have smoking rooms for the smokers? Cos I'd imagine as you can't open a window and get fresh air in it must've been awful for the non-smokers.

Geev6, well done! You are doing really well, imagine how great it's gonna feel when you go out after July 1st and the smokers will all be stood out on the pavement, plus it's likely to be raining cos it always rains during the first week of July so it seems cos Wimbledon is always rained off and that's the first week of July isn't it?!

Well I'm doing ok, craving's are getting less and less although the one's I do get are worse and worse  I've not been saving much money as I don't have it to save (who knows where I got it from for the fags!), but I have managed to put a measly £50 away which I'm taking out with me tomorrow on a shopping trip. I think it'll only have serious impact if I go to Primark as if I go to next I'll only be able to buy 1 thing :rotfl: so I'm thinking a Primark/H&M trip is needed to treat myself :D

Hope you all have a lovely weekend, I won't be around cos the laptop has not been revived yet, maybe I should be saving my £50 to get that fixed huh?! Although think the hard drive has gone so it's gonna cost in the region of £150 _pale_

Speak to you all soon, have a great day :D

Hi TNG, that's for labour too. It's a laptop so apparently it costs more than a normal tower PC :(

    How you doing?
