That's the key, isn't it. That is why I failed in previous attempts. I began to doubt my decision

Yes it is ! One inch (not even that much) of doubt and thought that you possibly be 'able' to have a puff the tug of war starts, rest is history for me.

Feel like i'm sitting on the fence waiting to jump off on the right side.

    Morning Tobruk
I really think you are a prime Allen Carr candidate !
He says that it's the strangest addiction - you hate it when you do smoke and hate it when you can't. How ridiculously true lol !

The first cup of tea in the morning is the weakness for me too.

Well I have looked up the book by Allan Carr on amazon and found there is more than one - even one for women, wonder how different they are. Since you kind people have informed me of a dvd - that is also there.

It's funny, I did think when I woke up ... right then I'll go for it, but something stopped me in a matter of seconds I thought no I want a smoke today! I am really scared of not doing it!!! I was the same before my first attempt - really strange

Torbruk, how bout maybe tomorrow (maybe!), waking up and saying 'no I won't have one yet', then try to busy your mind on something else. Once you're got through that craving, every time you get a craving do the same and remember the last one and think, what's the worst thing that happened? It's just all in the mind and your mind is powerful so can give you feelings that are physical. When you realise that nothing bad is actually going to happen to you, it will be easier to deal with the next one.

Good luck, stick around and get non-smoking vibes from the rest of us. We'll all be here for you when you need us :)

    Tobruk
    I've read two versions !
First time I stopped before I'd finished the book. Was the bog standard version, Easyway to Stop Smoking.
Second time I read Easyway to Stop Smoking Permenantly - to be honest it was just a longer rehashed version of the first one.
The DVD is good, straight to the point as good as the book, did someone say it was available on CD ?

Thanks both, I have actually got just enough tobacco left to see me through today so it will be a matter for tomorrow - to buy or not to buy! You see you can't stop smoking when you've got some tobacco left - when you have half a pouch left it would be terrible to waste it :D

I shall be fighting with myself ... no I'm not, yes I am!!

Hiya all!!! It really is buzzing at the moment in here and get a feeling of positivety!!!! Yes there is a CD about, saw one in a second hand shop!!! (Allen Carr)!! Do you know what Tobruk, the strangest thing is , it doesn't have to be a fight at all. It is what we are led to believe!!! If you open the channels in your mind it can be the easiest thing you have ever done and I,m actually not joking!!! The whole concepts that we carry around with us about smoking are one big lie!! Everything we think of about smoking actually KEEPS us smoking!!! For me it is a revelation, and until you read the book and study it, you will know what i'm talking about!! Sorry to keep harping on about Allen Carr but to me he is a saint!!! He has the key!!! I will now let you make up your own mind about it!!! :j :D :T
