Oh god, I gotta go bed, but had to say that vivid dreams are a 'side effect' of quitting smoking, espesh if you are using the patch. I personally think it's got something to do with the fact that all your faculties are working and your imagination wakes up!!

Jo: mebbe we should be asking for our own forum

anyways, here's something to add to the discussion..... Allen Carr is available on CD. I have a couple of friends who bought it, one of whom is blind and the other is just lazy :D:D:D

Just another heads up, I got Allen Carr on DVD. It is obviously word for word the same as the book. One of his associates talks you through the brain washing reversal and illusions, some great clips that we all relate to.

If you do have a lovefilm subscription (another thing I can't give up)they have it available.

Tobruk, go online to your local library and order Alan Carr online, it's definately the way to go (or Neil Casey's book, I've not read it but a few on here will recommend...won't you TNG?!!!)

    Morning all :hello:

Busy in here thesedays isn't it :D

Can I just say that I really recommend 'The Nicotine Trick' by Neil Casey, if Mr Carr doesn't quite hit the spot :D:D

Blimey, just re-read all the posts, I was a bit tired last night and couldn't remember what everyone said!

BetterLateThanNever, welcome to the thread  and well done, hopefully you are on day 4 now :) One of the best incentives in the early days is lovely smelling clothes! Keep us updated.

FrugalJo, just had a quick look at your blog, I'll read it properly later - it looks great! Maybe I could put a link to it in the first post on this thread if you didn't mind?

Tobruk, setting a date to give up doesn't work for everyone. It certainly never works for me as I'm an impulse person. Just try everything and something will work :D

Mcglynn68, welcome to the thread  I wouldn't worry about putting weight on at first, it's better to put on a few pounds which you can lose later than keep on harming yourself with the weed. Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Elle, you are doing great, how are you feeling now you've nearly hit the 4 week mark?

Monkey, good to see you dropping in :D lol at your lazy friend :rotfl:

TNG, morning hun, hope you have a good day :D

Re being an impulsive person totally relate to that, maybe that's why we are all here ? I know that we are all strong minded people too.
Anyway the DVD did me some good, the words 'never doubt your decision' keep ringing in my ears.

Of course I don't mind a link to my blog ! Will in turn link back in my next blog post.

That's the key, isn't it. That is why I failed in previous attempts. I began to doubt my decision
