Oh pooh!! I've failed today again ... now there's a surprise :rolleyes: Yes Jo1972 I have bought another pouch of tobacco (the smallest) and I'm not pleased with myself, I'm a naughty girl! This morning I was hesitating even more and the first cigarette I put into my mouth I paused a while before lighting up, so that tells you that I'm getting close to the moment ... if you know what I mean!

Anyway hi everyone, happy birthday IDA just a little younger than me betterlatethanever congrats and keep at it, you're doing well. How's everyone else doing? TNG, had a nap yet? Saw from your post you were tired today.

Morning all

It's lovely and sunny out there this morning but bluddy chilly! We actually put the heating on for the first time last night :eek:

Torbruk, definately sounds like you're gearing yourself up, that's fine, do it in your own time then it will work. If you're pushed into quitting on a day that doesn't suit then its likely to go wrong. Stick around here though, we're all ready to give you support

How's everyone else today? I've got so much planned it's stupid, got 4 mystery shops which would be fine but they are all 5 miles away, all in opposite directions (I'm not very organised ), I've got to find a pet shop that sells a fish tank filter, my local one doesn't do the one I want and my fish have been without a filter since Wednesday after it decided to stop working.

Morning all,
Went out with visiting family last night. Lovely restaurant. We don't go out to licensed very often, think it was the second time since the smoking ban. Do you know I sailed through the evening, enjoying the food and smoke free atmosphere. Felt the urge once, but decided it's far too cold to go out there !

This morning back to my old tricks, caffeine and nicotine by 8am. Going to watch the AC DVD again. Feel like I'm in the right frame of mind.

Tobruk, we'll crack it soon.
Jo good luck with fish filter, hope fishes are okay. DH is an enthusiast, just got a bargain on a 4ft tank for £20, need a few extra bits including a lid and pump but will keep him happy once he's set it up.

Frugaljo - Bet it was a great feeling, enjoying your meal without thinking how long it will be before you could have a cigarette. Hold that thought each time you think of lighting up

Morning everyone and thanks for your kind words, not today again I'm afraid!! I'm sure I'll get there soon, one thing though I allocated the one place I am allowed to smoke in the house a while ago - painted the lounge a few weeks ago and since then banned myself from smoking there, so took away the comfort of having a ciggie relaxing on the sofa in front of tv!! I know that sounds funny that I've banned myself seeing I live alone but I haven't broken the ban!

I am only allowed to smoke in the conservatory next to the window which has to be open! As it is now getting much colder (especially at night) having a ciggie there with the window open is getting less appealing and if I'm watching a programme on tv, there is no tv in the conservatory so I either have to miss a bit or wait for adverts to have a puff HA! Sounds stupid I know and I don't press the timeslip button so that I don't miss a bit of the programme, this means that if I want to watch something I have to wait - punishment ha!

Crumbs I sound off my head!!:D

TNG - great idea, I think association has big part to play in smoking and not smoking.

Tobruk - The only smoking allowed in this house is our 'sort of utility room' which is nothing more than a shed tacked on to the back of the house.

I do exactly the same ! There is no joy in a couple of puffs, one ear listenening for the end of the adverts, freezing yourself, allowing cold air to creep through the house while the back door is open.
