  • Jo,

maybe we should all post totals once a week or once a month? am thinking we all will save loadsssss and it will be a BIG figure all a dded together.

when i get a bit down i look around my living room and think yes i could do with a fag but temper it with the nice feelin i g et knowing the whole flat smells nice and im not ashamed to let anyone in! there is no ash stains on the rug, the house is tidier cos i have more time, and i am looking at my nice clean nails which the yellow has all but gone, and my nice new pink trainers. i also think 'because i stopped smoking i have been able to buy for eg...trainers, nice food, clothes whatever.... and it gives me the same sense of s atisfaction as if id have had a fag (more or less!)

i got invited out to the pub tonight, but with 4 smokers!! HOW DARE THEY!!! i know i was out the other night and was ok, i still aint cruising it so to speak and certainly not when people are gonna smoke righht in my face!!! and these 4 would enveagle me into smoking i know it!
  • GROSS!!! according to my Quitkeeper i HAVE NOT smoked 1056 fags since i stopped smoking 45 days ago! that bit really freaks me out, i was also clearng out my .stop smoking box. and i found a record id kept of my last few days as a smoker and it lokked l ike i smoked a fag every half hour yuchhhhh

:T Well done Dragon Lady and FieryBlondeScot :T

IKWYM about the going out with smokers FBS. I was going to pop round to my friends house earlier but decided not to as I know she and her BF smoke and I dont feel that strong yet
Ive been having computer problems and the quote to fix it is £240 so I may be looking into getting a new one if the old one is still worth anything ( have started a thread over on the Techie board ) so it looks like it was a good time to stop smoking as I absolutely can not do without my daily MSE fix :p and with the money saved I will be able to get a new computer.
Ive got an interview tomorrow for a job so Im doing loads of homework on it this afternoon as my DD is at a practice for the show she is in later on in the week - so much for a relaxing bank holiday weekend :rotfl:

How is everybody else doing ???

  • Hi everyone. Hope you are all coping well and feeling strong.

How did the bank holiday go for you all. Had a few us and downs but managed to NOT give in to temptation. :j

I found it difficult being cooped up in doors yesterday and today. But, at least all the household paperwork and filing is now up to date. Our shredder has never worked so hard :D

Keep strong everyone, we can all do it and do it together

    Hi again

    Onwards to day 2...

I have a cough already and my chest is still tight and sore. Don't think I'm really feeling physically all that much better yet but I guess it will happen in time. Saying that, my gums were also sore from smoking before I quit and they're ok now. Hmm...

Yesterday was pretty easy cos i was so busy all day but today may be a different story. I have a smoking buddy at work. How do I dodge her without being offensive? I want to quit so badly but the routine of us smoking together may just be too strong. Eek!

I'm really liking driving without smoking. My car is loads fresher. I might treat it to a hoover this w/e.

Good luck to everyone today. I'll be thinking about you all.

    Hi All
You are all doing so well.
I am really impressed with your energy levels too, makes me feel so lazy (suffering from procrastination with the ironing !).

I'm still lurking on the thread and have yet to name the day. Will be my fourth attempt.

    Morning all,

Gotta be quick cos the boss is lurking lol!!

Sorry I been AWOL since Friday, my laptop has died :( I think it's had a virus and won't even let me start up in safe mode so think I gotta buy a new hard drive :(:( This is really not good news to a DFW!

But the good news is that I haven't smoked for 15 days today wooohooo!!

Oh and I noticed yesterday that Tescos are doing patches, gums etc - 2 for £20! So that's where I'm going tonight, be just my luck if they've run out!!

I'll pop back later for a few personals, but ani*fan - Well done :T and Jo - we're all here for when you are ready :) keep reading and get some inspiration off the clever people on here!!

    Speak to you all later.
