There is nothing we can do. We have been had. There is no post by MSE in this thread or indeed Mr Lewis.
To be fair they probably don't even know about it as they have a life outside the forums, as do we, but because we have been shafted we are the ones on here at midnight Friday.

The flowers won't be arriving today or tomorrow. There is no way this joke of a company are going to pay a courier to deliver on a weekend!
In the meantime what can we do to get our money returned?? Speak to the bank? Trading standards? I certainly am not happy with 50% and 50% off my next order??!! Never using them again!0 -
Yes it is, they don't seem to have sent any.
I was the one of the lucky ones (the 500) that got the great deal! Well dindn't in the end!
I think MSE should be doing more to help us, as we trusted them to provide us with a good link.
What made me even more angry was the fact that they deleted all of my Facebook posts to them. Because I stated the 100% refund + flowers from the MSE article. Clearly they didn't want people to know of this and they deleted my link, my post and everything I had asked them..
Assj, I've stated FOUR times on this thread and once as a direct reply to you that the MSE article has no evidence to support the claim they made about Arena delivering and fully refunding. Your contract is between you and Arena, not you and MSE. Arena didnt ever state that the flowers would be delivered AND a full refund given in any of their communications. So if you are circulating what is essentially a rumour they have every right to take them down as you are helping to spread the myth that MSE irresponsibly created.

This link is an official update/communication from Arena, who you have your contract with. Nothing about sendng flowers and fully refunding. Nothing about receiving flowers and then being able to cancel them 'in the next week or so'.
Please ignore what MSE have speculated on in their article as there has never been evidence to support this and it is not the official line from Arena. Arena have made their position clear that the options were either cancelling fully beforehand or delivering late with a 50% discount. Trusting the MSE article could lead to disappointment as their statement on refunds/cancellations has never been supported by Arena comunications0 -

I used to trust the MSE ideas, but I'm thinking they could have at least put an update on the site late yesterday or even today.
It feels like we have now just been left, and we don't have any flowers or refund.
Does anyone know how big this Company is? If they have done this to so money, is there a chance we will loose our money because they go bust? Or are they huge and make enough outside of all this mess?

They will lose a hell of a lot of money in canceled orders, discounting orders and extra staff costs. They may receive a rebate on their flower order from Kenya (the affected batch) but will still make a loss as their margins are not huge anyway.
Revenue or profit (the article doesn't say which) generated by Valentine's is 25% of their annual figure so they will not go bust over this (they will just have very poor Q4 12/13 finances compared to Q4 11/12) but the fact that their brand has been damaged could lead to a decline in future revenue generated and financial difficulties a lot further down the line0 -
Like a lot of people I got an email from Arena on Valentine's day apologising that the flowers I'd ordered would not be delivered and promising to deliver double the amount on Friday.
But no delivery at all on Friday.
I used M&S the past couple of years and in future I think I'll stick to them. Only reason I used Arena this year was the link from the British Heart Foundation site - never again.0
