Thanks guys, will do that and let you know how I get on!

Well..after waiting a very long time, went through the Court process, obtained a European Order for Payment..still Meridiana ignored me..was at my wit's end and ended up contacting one of the claims companies Bottonline who said they couldn't help me but try the Sherif's Office..they told me they couldn't deal with it as it was in Sardinia and not the UK but recommended Credit Limits International, you can find them on the web. I sent them all my paperwork and they work on a no win no fee basis, 20% commission if they obtain payment. They went to Meridiana's Head Office and yippee obtained full payment from them:j:T
Would heartily recommend them if you are in my situation, very pleasant to deal with and got results!!
I am one very happy bunny!!

  • Please help, in particular with a working link to a Notice Before Action template!

Birmingham to Bangkok ticket via Dubai

2hr delay to Dubai meant, 14 hour delay to final destination

I wrote to them about the delay and to claim compensation

Emirates tried to fob me off with 'Extraordinary Circumstances' because of a seriously ill passenger prior to departure. I pointed out that the passenger couldn't have been seriously ill or they would taken them off the pane and given them medical attention, rather than the cabin crew spending ages discussing if the passenger was fit to fly and what they could do about bags. (The passenger remaind on board and flew).

So once i had disproved 'Extraordinary Circumstances' Emirates shifted tact and said: flight EK038 arrived at Dubai Airport one hour and forty one minutes later than scheduled. As this is not more than three hours late, EU compensation would not apply even if the circumstances were not classed as extraordinary.

For avoidance of doubt I would clarify that any flight from Dubai to another non EU Airport on a non EU carrier, is not governed by EU legislation.

I've replied to Emirates 2nd attempted fob off with the relevant law about final destination.

I'm awaiting their reply but i need a link to a Notice BEfore Action Template, which i ca't find anywhere despite looking at the FAQ's etc.

Any pointers to legal action stuff would also be helpful

    Thanks

Really not being funny but all you need is in the FAQs (and use the search facility). You need to spend time doing a lot of reading. If you want someone to do it for you, you will need to contact a no win no fee firm.

I am flying from Edinburgh to Orlando via Dublin on Aer Lingus. However, the 2nd leg of my return flight (Dublin-Edinburgh) was cancelled so we were put on a later flight then that flight was cancelled so we were put on an even later flight. This now means that we arrive in Dublin at 0925 and have to wait until 1810 until our next flight. That means we are in the airport for 8hrs 45mins!

We booked the holiday through sunshine.co.uk in Feb '14 and go on holiday 27 Sep-15 Oct. There is a Ryanair flight which flies from Edinburgh-Dublin at 1410 so I was wondering if I would be entitled to some sort if compensation or if we could be put on that Ryanair flight?

There are 5 adults & a 14yr old travelling. Can anyone offer me any advice on what the best thing to do is?

    Thanks in advance.
