Does anybody have a UK postal address for American Airlines. Even an email address for customer services would help. Their help line was unable to provide one.
Thanks

I don't believe these airlines are connected - Continental merged with United but US Airways and United are 2 different entities
US Airways have actually merged with American Airlines, and (shortly) customer service and these queries will merge too, but in the mean time

My husband and I were both up for around 28hours in total. The thing that annoyed me most is that when we were waking our children up at 2am so we could travel to the airport, Air Transat already knew that our flight would be around 12 hours late as the plane hadn't even left Toronto yet and hadn't bothered to let anyone know. The plane had technical issues and then just when they thought it had been fixed, and had set off they had to make an emergency landing in Montreal as they had another problem.
Has anyone received compensation from Air Transat? We're going to send a letter off tomorrow anyone but I just wondered how likely it was that we would receive anything?
Just to let everyone know, we got round to sending our letter off last week and got an e-mail today from air transat confirming they will compensate us as per the EU rules. £2380.95 in total. Pretty much the same as our return flights cost. So thankful I saw this thread0 -
Just wanted to let the forum know of a successful claim against Air canada....after getting nowhere with initial letters from myself, i went through a NWNF firm and have now had a deposit of money into my bank account :j
I was on flight AC865 ON 29/7/13 flying LHR - Montreal (YUL) which was delayed/cancelled and we were flown out the following day. In light of recent judgements, the airline may be more likely to pay up without resorting to NWNF companies but i initially started the action in October 2013 before the recent judgements. My thinking was that a percentage of something was better than 100% of nothing!
Good luck to all claimants - if anyone is claiming against Air canada, let me know if you need any corresspondence addresses0 -
Hi,
I was on a United flight from Manchester to Newark when it was announced that the pilot had been taken ill. We all trooped of the plane, waited for a couple of hours, and were then told the flight was cancelled. I was re-routed through London and landed about 9 hours late.
I have been reading the guides provided, which took me to the linked EC Draft of extraordinary circumstances which does mention about a crew member becoming seriously ill on board or during the flight. Bearing in mind that the pilot wasn't seriously ill (he had a dodgy stomach, and walked off the plane) do you think it is worth me claiming? I realise that even if I did I would be likely to run into difficulties, but I don't want to put in an a claim if I'm not entitled to. Thanks0 -
Hi,
I am trying to see what I can actually claim from the company and if I have the right to claim.
The first part of my flight was within the EU and the second in the US.
The connections were like:
Departure (EU) - > Connection (EU) -> Connection (US) -> Arrival (US)
So, my initial flight was delayed for basically 3-4 hours and then I lost my connection.
Due to being their mistake for losing the connection, I was given a ticket for another flight to the US and I had to wait even more. Total delay more than 6 hours.
Should I claim for the first part only? Can I claim for the whole flight?
I was not given any kind of meal or anything while waiting... can I claim such a thing, since I had to stay many more hours in the airports.
Thank you!0
