ParkingEye charge

Pointy is a nickname I've had since I was a kid as a certain part of my body is pointy (not hard to guess), and my name is Paul.
I got the parking charge for staying just over 5 hours (5 hours and 6 mins to be exact) on 26th Jan at a retail park which has a 3 hour time limit (I've been back and checked the signs). I didnt spend any money there, so have no receipts or reason to appeal. I got a further letter 10th feb. I'm not new to this forum or site or other forums, I am new to this subject (not sure why anyone would choose parking as their specialist subject, but hey) and I've never had the need to register as I use MSE for discounts and offers etc. I ignored the letters as per the advice, but queried that on here and other sites that parking eye is taking legal action (this thread is about this, is it not), so I didn't want to end up like GeMoae who have received court papers.
I wanted some advice, but got called a troll (I know what it means now), and watched as you guys argued amongst yourselves.
No one wants to get a parking charge, but surely no one wants to have to deal with the hassle of court even more.
Apologies for the excessive use of brackets!

No one wsnts court but that shouldn't scare people into paying when it can be defended on the rare occasion it happens. For everthing else there's mastercard.
For clampers there's Barclaycard.0 -
To answer the other questions.. My parking charge notice was sent in the post not on the car and I over use the word basically all the time (and obviously and brackets, I'm a sinner).0

Don't hijack other people's threads, as I have given advice of starting a new thread in the other thread you've posted on
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=163When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

I see that ParkingEye are taking motorists to Court?0

Just a few and with a good defence they will be defeated. Do you work for Parking Eye?What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0
-
They've issued a very small handful of claims. Not quite the same thing as 'taking someone to court'.
I suspect they'll run away (like most PPCs do) when they see the defences being submitted.
They've not actually put a case in front of a judge as of yet (to my knowledge) so no, you're wrong.Je Suis Cecil.0
