I see that ParkingEye are taking motorists to Court?

Could you tell us all what is your interest in this?

Have you gotten one of Parking Eye's fake tickets?

    When and where?

If so what did you do or do you intend to do?

Also, be aware there are trolls here who are really Parking Eye employees. They come onto here because Parking Eye knows that to follow the advice to ignore them(or 'appeal' and go the POPLA route then ignore) works; they know that thousands have successfully ignored and Parking Eye eventually scurries away.
If they ever did court they would lose to the proper defence and they know this too. :T

    An invoice.

Parking Eye do not have the statutory authority necessary to 'fine' anyone.

  • The person who started this thread has now received county court papers from parking eye, I have received several notices since I forgot to pay £6 at a hotel in Kettering, the amount is now £100 but I'm now worried that ill end up with court action aswell...Im thinking of sending them a cheque for £60 back dated as a quick end to the matter?

The claim received by the OP has no legal merit and will be seen off fairly easily by a solid defence which will be supplied to the OP.

If you don't value £60 and are happy to send it to people who are not legally entitled to it purely because they want to try bullying a handful of individuals, then be our guest.

No you are not. I don't believe that for one second. You'd be mad (or a PPC plant) to post this as an idea, and also you can't just pay £60, you will not have removed yourself from their 'look here's a victim' books by part-paying a scammer!

Another newbie on here about Parking Eye? May be worth MSE checking all these as it makes you wonder if they are the same person. Too coincidental and very tedious...

There is NOTHING to be feared from Parking Eye, we know how to beat them at POPLA and if you are too late as you didn't use POPLA, we also know a robust defence for the odd small claim they may take a punt at.

Parking Eye will soon stop when they keep losing.

Thats what the private parking companies bank on. That the greater fraction of those who they fake ticket and then threaten to 'hassle' would rather cave in and pay up. Thats their business model! Why not be of the ever growing number who recognise this industry as the scam that it is and refuse to be scammed?

Beth I think you need to grow a pair and not be bullied.

    Are you this easily intimidated?

    Sorry to be blunt

Parking eye issued over 500,000 parking invoices last year and less then 10 court claims were issued. Now what does that say?
