Can I claim on a closed account, no account number?

lisa, yes they do. but i had to go into the branch to request mine, after the halifax told me they could not order them over the phone (think they were trying to put me off).

once i went into the branch i had my staetment within a week.

I used to bank with Barclays.

About 18 months ago, after a dispute with them, the account was mutually closed.
This account incurred many many charges for being overdrawn, etc.

Can I still claim charges from an account that is now closed?

I've got 3 accounts that need to be claimed against.
1 current account and 2 credit card accounts.

Im in the same boat mate. My fortunes are in my closed bank and credit cards account and ive just started the process on some of them.

A word of advice, you may have read my post today about recorded delivery. My letters still havent arrived so you should send everything special next day delivery. If you send normal first class they will say they never recieved your letter.

You do know that if you still owe anything on the accounts the banks have the right to offset any charges reclaimed against what you owe them? They will re-open closed accounts if necessary.

Not a problem for me. I don't owe any money, I paid off all my debts. :cool:

Yep, all mine are in an IVA. I cant wait for it to get paid off quicker
