  • I've not had a good week for exercise. I've been full of cold and it's taken all my energy to get through work, never mind any further exercise. I've done my 2 miles walk between work and the bus station every day but Tuesday (when I got picked up) and walked a little further on Wednesday in the snow. Then yesterday we had a lovely walk out in the sun near my OH's, probably about 4-5miles. Contemplating swimming tomorrow but will definitely be getting out the wii fit before I head off for a few days at OH's with it being half term :)

  • Hi teamshepherd and WelshWoofer :D

Hopefully this thread keeps you both motivated too!!!

Pretty good weekend for me I think! We were dog-sitting so went to the beach Saturday a.m. for about an hour. Was out visiting mum too and helped her get toys from the attic for my niece and nephew, plus move some furniture!! Sunday a.m. we took the dog to Downhill forest for about 2 hours. Was a lovely day for it :D

Walked to work this morning as per usual.

And seeing this thread reminding me that I gotta do a workout DVD tonight :o lol

(PS. Fair play to you WelshWoofer for putting up with Jillian! I've the DVD I got on ebay already and was planning on trying the 2nd workout, but really don't think I can!!! :p But have won Davina: Intense so that will be something different for me to do again :D)

    Afternoon all!
Had a nice long brisk walk along the river with the poocher this afternoon (about an hour) - it was lovely and sunny but quite cold so an incentive to walk more quickly.
About to force myself into 30mins of the Tae Bo DVD before scoffing tea - I'm hopeless, as soon as I eat no more exercise happens apart from a quick dog stroll so if I don't do it first it doesn't get done.
  • Hello

Just popping in for a little update.

Thurs and Fri I did practically nothing exercise wise :o
Saturday I did Mr Motivator (and bought myself a better bra coz I was in danger of knocking myself out!)
Sunday I took my friends dogs out for a looooong walk.

Tonight I was going to do a big fat nothing (I had a migraine last night so I was using that as an excuse) but DH said "aren't you exercising tonight then?" and guilted me into getting off the sofa. Gonna have a go at 30ds. Eeek!

    Debt-free and Proud!
I've been a bit rubbish at exercising again - i get out of the habit so easily and with staying with my mum a few days most weeks i can't get to do my wii fit - going to have to think of something to do while i'm there.

Today has been another day of shifting boxes upstairs so a little bit of exercise in there, but not feeling great so going to take it easy this evening. If its another nice day tomorrow i will get out for a walk - would be a shame to stay holed up indoors while the sun is out!

Evening :D. I've not been very good lately but I have been feeling really cack with tonsillitis, over the wort of it now though and started the week with a very brisk walk yesterday (2.8 miles), roughly another mile today, although cant really count it as I had Dd with me who is 5yrs and her wee leggies can't walk fast, poor wee toot kept telling me to slow down lol!

Got Zumba tomorrow, it was cancelled last week so hoping its back on!

  • Day 9 of 30ds today and decided to try level 2. Went okayish but I think I have managed to twist one of my knees somewhere along the line so toned down the excercises to the easy ones.

DS's talking at the dinner table:
DS2 (16) seemed pleased that Mum is doing excercise dvds.

Turns out it was my sports bra I left hanging off his chair, he used the handle of the cats' toy to move it:eek:

  • Haha Money maker that's thoroughly tickled me! Well done on the 30ds though :)

Well I got some compliments on my weightlifting at the gym and had an argument with my friends over the fact it won't make me bulky, and then went to ballroom and did some great work on the jive but couldn't get the foxtrot. So a bit of a mixed bag for me.

  • :rotfl: Nice one Money maker!!

Haven't been ice-skating in years!! Always loved it, though not very good :o Should maybe arrange to take OH and the girls some weekend, although the nearest rink is over an hours drive away :p

Did Davina last night and feel great for doing it! Not so sore this week so likely have to do a different DVD next week!

Zumba on Thursday to look forward to too :D
