    Badminton? That'd be fun!!

    Chilled evening tonight. Zumba tomorrow. Maybe try to go a drive/walk with OH at the weekend again, weather permitting. In saying that, what's the point in having the waterproofs if we don't use them!? :o

    Hello, I am new to this...actually, I lie, I used to run with my husband, felt good afterwards, but motivating myself to get up was the main issue.

    Anyways, just started a routine I hope to keep. Here's the weekly plan;

    Do 45mins of insanity with my friend on Weds evenings and Saturday mornings

    BLT class with the girls at my local gym on Sunday mornings

    Mons- 15mins of hula hoops in the morning and another 15mins in the evening

    45mins of insanity/davina by myself on tues mornings

    Do 45mins of insanity with my friend on Weds evenings

    Thurs -rest day

    Fri- 15mins of hula hoops in the morning and another 15mins in the evening

    Do 45mins of insanity with my friend on Saturday mornings

    So far started this week and I have done;

    Sun - 10 mins of WATCHING insanity as BLT class was cancelled..LOL
    Tues -45mins of insanity in the morning and another 45mins in the evenings
    Wed (yday)-45mins insanity work with my friend and 5mins of weighted hula hooping

    Note: INSANITY is INSANE.

    Plan to mix it a bit more, may add spinning classes to my routine, as I used to love that a while ago.

    My aim is to be fit in general, lose inches and lose 5-7 kg and stay there.

    Also food wise, for the last few months now, been trying to eat healthier, no carbs after 6pm, so dinner/tea is usually, carrots, broccoli/spinach and fish/chicken/lamb/beef, weekday is breakfast is usually a bowl of porridge/oats at work and lunch is the wild card, have anything I feel like. My main issue is stopping myself from eating the treats at work (biscuits, cakes etc)...I try, take nuts and grapes with me but it is hard....

    I hope we encourage each other on our journeys....
  • Hey missmom :D

    You've it all planned out! Good for you! That's quite a bit more than what I can get motivated to do, but watching Insanity doesn't count!! lol :)

    I've Zumba tonight and looking forward to that :D

    Had a rest day yesterday but just walked 3.5 miles with a buggy on country terrain so got a good workout :D I'm actually really enjoying exercising makes you feel good (I know the experts keep saying it but I think u need to experience it to believe it!).

  • Insanity's great - I did a cycle of it last year and lost a dress size :) Kept it off too!

  • Nice one, Teenie D! :D I'm still at the "exercise makes me feel hot, sweaty and painful" stage. I hope I get some enjoyment soon!

    Hey missmom, you week plan looks great. Very busy and mixed. Variety is always good!

    I'd looked at starting Insanity, but just can't afford it at the moment. Seems like an awful lot of money for a workout.
    So many people don't realise they are lowering their metabolic rate by eating too little, though thankfully you can increase it again with exercise :) scare it out of starvation mode LOL!

    Exactly! For me it wasn't even a choice - I just didn't eat very much (and when I did it was at odd times). I was very happy to find out I could eat more to lose weight! :D
    I so understand where you're coming from:D

    Day 10 of 30ds for me today, level 2. My knee is still painful and struggling with the aerobic impact exercises. I know I should rest it but if I do then I'll never get this far again with my exercising. Had sweat dripping off me - what a mess. How many days are you into the shred, Taylorette?

    I injured my knee last year and 30DS seems to have aggravated it a bit (I feel it with the high impact exercises), so sometimes if I feel it playing up during the workout I'll change the move to something else that has less impact but keeps me equally sweaty! Day 25 for me. I have 2 rest days a week, so I'll be finished next Friday! Not sure what to start next.

    @Taylorette -Lucky for me, got insanity off a friend

    @HeadAboveWater - Zumba is good, if I find a suitable class, I will probably add it to my routine

    Only just started this week, need to keep at it, I need to ensure that work does not get into the way.
  • If you buy Insanity through the official website, it's £33 a month - about the same as a gym membership.

    I still do a workout or two of it when I can't get to the gym, but do prefer lifting heavy things these days :)

    Zumba - can one of you experts give me the low down on this? Have watched it on youtube and it just seems to be a lot of really fit people gyrating their waists and hips in an enviable way! The reality must be different as I know of 80 year olds who do it. So what am I letting myself in for?
