  • How was Zumba HAW?

Nice one Teenie, getting back on it is sometimes hard.

Had a play about with some weights last night and the shoulder pulled but not too badly thankfully :) Managed to run a kilometre too!

"Madness" session tonight...see earlier posts ;)

Well done to you, HBS  what an achievement!

I've just started exercising again. Rejoined Jillian on level 2 of 30DS. Bought a pair of 1.5kg dumbbells from boot sale for £1 last week so using them. I know they are ridiculously light but they suit me as I lack arm strength. I do the 30ds then pick up a nice little 10 min workout I have found on youtube.

Still doing zumba once a week albeit after a dose of painkillers due to aching muscles from previous days workouts! Can't remember the last time my muscles didn't ache and my knees are getting a bit dicey again too:D

DS1 asked if I wanted to try jogging with him again in the evenings. Ok, I said doing a few zumba moves and dropping into a walking push-up. So disappointed that I was just as bad as last time. Just keep running out of breath (ex smoker). Also, I'm not really running (jogging), I'm waddling/wobbling along. FGS, in my head I'm 21 and can still run like the wind. In reality, I'm 20 years older, 2 stone overweight with a stomach wobble which seriously rivals my wobbly boobs:rotfl:

Anyone got any advice on starting to run after a gap of a few years? Don't have an ipod so can't use that. Have told DS1 (who's 17 and very athletic) that we will keep trying daily as it has to get easier.

  • Thank you Money maker, I was rather shocked :D

Have you tried the Couch 2 5k running program? I did it a while back, got to 4k then had my knee op, lol. It was good though, there's a lot of success with it :)

1.5kgs are fine for 30DS - shame you're not nearby, coulda sent you mine!
