I wonder how many people need to say it's a terrible idea before the OP will finally listen. Hopefully it will be before the police are telling him.0

You simply don't take this relationship all that seriously. You think you do but you don't. You seem unable to put your ex first. All credit to her for realising it frankly."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
I sort of feel sorry for the lad. In his mind this is Mr Romantic material. In reality it's Mr Freakshow material.
Heartbreak rule number one for all men. Everything you are currently thinking is wrong.0 -

He won't listen.
He's hell-bent on seeing through this (in his eyes) grand romantic gesture that will bowl this girl over - in his opinion.
The OP can't see it but a lot of posters do think it's bordering on stalking.
If he really cared for this girl, he'd understand that.0 -

You are missing the first logic step of heartbroken male.
Rule 1: No this is a GREAT idea. You don't understand. This is us. She will see how much I love her and the world will be set to rights again. Others just don't understand the purity of our love.
Female translation:
What did I ever see in this needy, clingy freak show?0 -

He's still not listening......:)0 -
Hmmmmm
Maybe, just maybe the OP is writing a novel and a little stuck for ideas....
he, correction, all those responding have just written the chapters! Even comes with sound tracks! ;-)
;-)
will it be a Valentine's best seller?0 -
You know OP, the only way that getting back with someone ever happens is if they are given the chance to miss you.0

Since the thread is on page 11 with pretty much everyone saying it's a bad idea (don't think there has been one person yet who's said to them 'yes, bombarding her with cards and then showing up at her work unannounced to embarass her is a great idea and bound to win her back') then I doubt the OP is ever going to listen to anyone else. They have decided it's a good idea so that's that.
I too hope he merely ends up being told (yet again!) that it's over by her rather then security at her work or the police!0 -

It's disturbing you are using present instead of past tense. Equally disturbing is describing someone you have been with six years from the age of 18 or so as "the love of your life" - you aren't even a quarter of the way through your life yet, you've likely only genuinely been in love the once, and only been sexually aware perhaps ten years. Most of us fervently believe our first love is 'the one' very very few of us turn out to be correct.
Consider getting some help from your family doctor, various perfectly natural disorders of mental health including clinical depression can twist your logic and cause obsessive cyclical thought patterns in the way you display in this thread.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
