Sorry, but, first things first - ask your mum and then listen to her answers.
This is HER life and HER home... please just let her have her say about her life.
Has mum got one of those lifeline call systems? Maybe that would be enough at night and so not need to have a stranger living in.
Do you know 100% the women is telling the truth about being a solicitor? Seems strange like you say could she be saying things to impress.
Have mums needs been assessed by social services? If not ask them for a occupational therapist.:j Trytryagain FLYLADY - SAYE £700 each month Premium Bonds £713 Mortgage Was £100,000@20/6/08 now zilch 21/4/15:beer: WTL - 52 (I'll do it 4 MUM)0 -

yes Mum has a lifeline and it works a treat. few times she has used it ambulance has turned up really quickly or they have contacted me or sis straight away.
I am really not sure about the woman at all and may make a few discreet enquiries locally cause i know where she works. Yes Mum has been assessed by Social Services and has recently been seen by OP and Physio. I also took her to doctor last week and all her meds have been reviewed.
We have also had Farm Foods delivered last week for her to try.
Dont want to blow my own trumpet but her house has had every mobility need assessed and addressed as appropriate, toilet door was re hung while she was in hospital so she could get in with her zimmer frame and she has a gardener( eldest sis pays for) and a hairdresser who comes to the house.
her gas bill is down from £166.00 per month to £101 and is about to drop again, her electric is only £32.00 per month, full council tax benefit, pension credit pays half the mortgage ( the ones my eldest brother left them with) and she has a water meter.
I keep telling her she is a lot better off than most old people but she wont believe it. still hopefully at end of october i will be free from it all.0 -
Doesn't sound like she needs anyone their at night then. In fact I'd say she is safer on her own than with a stranger. Also happier too if mum doesn't want anyone living with her.:j Trytryagain FLYLADY - SAYE £700 each month Premium Bonds £713 Mortgage Was £100,000@20/6/08 now zilch 21/4/15:beer: WTL - 52 (I'll do it 4 MUM)0
