Actually that's not true - that's what I'd like to do but in reality I am a doormat, and would do as I was told until September, and then probably be railroaded into carrying on with it long after my own child had left
True for many. Which is why "no" is such a powerful word. Once you've used it once, subsequent "no's" come a lot more easily.
And it makes people appreciate your "yes's" more as well.
