Why aren't housholds on one side of each road given a bag of salt & responsibility to clear their front??0 -
Create an "universal unit of Energy" for Gas and Electricity so that Consumers can tell, pick and choose the most suitable or cheapest tariff with confidence. Comparing tariffs should be as easy as telling
that 2 is bigger than 1.

Frozen snow is a health&safety hazard on roads as well as pavements, for pedestrians. A little can make a big difference - why other countries geographically level with the UK handle snow better than us? UK shouldn’t be so surprised and unprepared for snow.
Totally agree, if you fall over you break a bone, if your car hits another you dent a lump of metal!!!0 -
Prisoners to clean our streets.
If we could get the 'not so dangerous' prisoners to clean our streets it would give them something useful to do for our communities, as well as making our streets more pleasant.0 -
Insurance is so expensive that many just don't have it, costing everyone else more money. If caught, the fines are derisory. Make the punishment fit the crime; depending on the age/driving record of the person caught with no insurance, Court could have a scale of charges/fines based on , say, double what it would have cost if the person HAD insured their car. Thus crime would not pay, as it does now. This is a no brainer surely?
Trouble is if they've gone several years without paying they're still quids in, jail them insterad irrespective, this would def be a deterrent!0 -
Ban financial institutions, insurance companies, online shopping forms etc from requiring a title to be used, ie Mr/Miss/Mrs/Ms and just call people firstname lastname.
Titles serve no purpose and are outdated and sexist.
Women are forced to decide whether they want to be called Miss Mrs or Ms and disclose it to all and sundry, who then judge them on their choice. This is an indiginity that men do not have to suffer.
As an unmarried but long term partnered adult woman, Miss is a child's title, Mrs is either my mother's name or makes people wrongly assume I am married, and Ms makes small minded people assume that I am a man hater.
Therefore none of these are appropriate to me and I just want to be addressed by my first name. I am not allowed the option of not using a title.
They don't use titles in the scandinavian countries and just call everyone by their first name. I want that to be the convention here.0 -
Make it compulsory for food manufacturers to display the country of origin of the food in their packages. At present you can find out by looking at the bar codes - the first 2 or 3 digits show this - but unless you have a key to ALL the bar codes you have no idea where your food comes from.0

Park in a resident's bay without a valid permit where I live (the London Borough of Brent) and you can not just be ticketed (at a cost of £50? £60?) but towed away, at a cost of £250 and an evening out of your life to retrieve your car. The punishment is completely disproportionate to the offence. If your vehicle is obstructing or hazardous, fair enough. But otherwise it's a policy that is officious and vicious.
Simple answer is not to do it, if you are the resident who has had to pay for that bay you might expect action to stop !!!!!!!!!!s.0
