Build. More. Houses. Or at least new schemes to encourage capital investment. The supply of new households has been behind the demands for far too long. It will create a generation of people who can't afford their own home. The rich who own will be richer, the poor who rent will be poorer.
The Number One Reason for the Success of the Internet

Debt at highest - £23,240 - Debt as of May 15 - £2300 0% CC DFD - Mid 2016! Bloody wedding to save up for now!
  • Rather than paying the generous UK benefit rates (compared to some countries), non UK claimants should be subject to the same restrictions/amounts for claiming benefits as they are in their own country. For example, in spain, unemployment benefit is only paid for 6 months, and if say the amount of income support in country Y was capped at x amount, then claimants from country Y cannot claim more than x amount in the UK.
  • When challenged by customers doing web searches and finding cheaper insurance quotes, the previous company will immediately offer equal or cheaper prices. This practice should be stopped as they can obviously afford cheaper prices and it is therefore cheating their customers. We should never reinsure with companies who do not offer us the best price possible the first time - and should tell them so very clearly.

    Campaign for fair re-insurance quotes.
  • Pay child benefit on a maximum of 2 children. If there are more than 2 children in the family, once the oldest child reaches 18, then benefit is stopped and a 'new' second child could be added in their place. It might make people think twice before they have more children, particularly if on benefits which increase the more children they have - the new system recently introduced is blatently unfair - one person in the family earning over £50,000 is penalised while 2 people earning £49,000 each in the same family aren't.
  • They do this in France, holidays are staggered and they change year on year so that the same school doesn't get the same holiday period every year.
  • I agree and also get annoyed that EU children are allowed to access our universities free, yet our children have to pay large fees to become doctors, teachers, solicitors etc.
And it seems crazy that Scottish students pay no tuition fees at all, yet English students pay £27000. They are all part of the UK so should all be treated the same.
  • Rewind Britain 30 years change the human rights bill and after lots of dealings with councils, hospitals schools etc the country could save a fortune if they would go back to matrons in hospitals and one manager in councils if they would stop making new policies and procedures they wouldn't need so many in highly payed jobs to oversee them all so stop contracting out to line other people's pockets with taxpayers money instead of having their own workforce and all proceeds going back into cities let people live normal lives instead of risk assessing every move ,get back to living dangerously and get rid of the blame society,no wonder everyone flocks to Britain ,we are a laughing stock
  • Support firms to create British solar panels as well as those who install solar solutions. I have solar panels and although we have a small roof, we generate money as well as energy for our own and others use. Our installer, SunGift Solar operates a good system where the money you generate can pay off the cost of installation. The government's incentives are rubbish as they are expensive and will get more people into debt. Also there are solar panels on barns in Germany, why aren't we more creative? Panels could be placed on government and council buildings. Or in between wind turbines (and why are these so huge - we need to look at better ways to design things. University and college students should have integrated courses that involve them working with industry to help us find solutions). Watching TV a few night's ago, I was impressed the way James Watt went into industry during the Industrial Revolution. It made me think that should have this flexibility today.
  • Invest in proper, reliable, affordable public transport. Outside London and a few other large cities, public transport is a joke. It is massively more expensive than cars, especially if more than one person is travelling and too infrequent. No wonder people think they have no choice but to use a car. Once people have bought/taxed/insured a car they have already paid 80% of the cost so its not feasible to use buses for some journeys, unless they provide a proper alternative, which at the moment they don't.
  • Also invest in proper cycling facilities (a bit of paint at the side of the road full of broken glass, parked cars and potholes doesn't count). Look at the facilities in Denmark/Holland/Spain for what is required.
