yeah to be honest I was suprised by this thread as the T&c's are quite clear on the site (unless they have only been put there recently) however I used to work with online marketing so I suppose I know what to look out for.. Although I am a bit ashamed to admit I nearly fell for it. I suppose just another person looking for a quick fix. I think ill just stick to the gym instead.. much cheaper lol

  • We filled the form in for the free trial and they where only supposed to takes the postage out of our debit card, but they took out over £100 then a couple of weeks later they took out the same amount again, we didnt know this until our statement came through,Idid what they said to do to cancel, so I hope it works as we are £200 plus down at the moment. They have sent us the products twice, but the first was supposed to be free and we did'nt ask for a repeat, just another rip off scheme for the rich to get richer and the poor to get poorer. I wont be reading the small print after this either' because that is the last time I will be falling for any scams. I don't suppose these people will be taken to task. So very angry.

So when exactly did you cancel?
Within the 14 days of taking the trial?
Or after you saw the further debits being taken?
so I hope it works as we are £200 plus down at the moment. They have sent us the products twice, but the first was supposed to be free and we did'nt ask for a repeat,.

The answer to that depends on the answer to the above questions.

You do realise that the trial is only FREE if you return the goods and cancel.
If you keep the goods you pay the full price for them.

I too have been a victim of the keytone brigade with over a hundred pounds taken from my account. If their products were so great, surely they wouldnt have to sell in such a shady way? I reported them to my b/s fraud dept and they are investigating. However they have stated that if Keytone tells them I ticked the t's and c's box, I will probably lose my money. The t's and c's box was already ticked whereas most reputable online companies wont proceed unless the consumer ticks it, so isnt that a breach which makes everything null and void anyway? In my case, I haven't received any products at all and yet they have debited my account. I am a single parent, so this has chronically affected me. Not anywhere on the website did I see anything about how much these products cost (only the trial p&p) let alone a subscription. If I had known how much they cost, I wouldn't have bothered to try them?! It's a bitter pill (pardon the pun) to swallow. I have now read their t's and c's (along the bottom of the website) and they are unreasonable. The onus is put wholly on the consumer to report within 7days whether they have received their parcel or not. In my opinion 7days is not enough time in which to receive a parcel in the uk, let alone if its coming from a distance and 14days is not a long enough period of time in which to try and assess a lifestyle product. I havent received anything and yet they continue to hit me with their t's and c's and ignore everything I say. I am still pursuing it. Its an outrage.

In which case, you just report within seven days that you have not received the parcel.

    Isn't it that simple?

You haven't told us when you placed the order.

Have you spoken to your card issuer about a chargeback?

Hi...yes I have done both. I have told keytone till i am blue in the face, all they want from me is for me to confirm my address whilst telling me that they have already sent it. They haven't. They keep telling me the 'assumed' this and that and that Royal Mail 'usually' are pretty good with their deliveries. It's a joke. The fact of the matter is that most reputable companies want you to receive their products, but they aren't reputable. They've got their money and quite frankly they don't need to rely on trackable mail, because this is the m.o. :(

OK, if you are not seeking information on your consumer rights, perhaps the best place for your post is on the Ketone thread on the Praise, Vent and Warnings board.

Its not fraud as you gave them your card details.....You will be redebited.
There are other options to deal with this. Sadly by claiming fraud you could have lost these.

I take it you paid by either Visa or mastercard.

As such there is a non reciept right. If the goods have not arrived 15 days after date of debit then money can be claimed back via a chargeback.
    Nice and simple.:D
