Yeah no more PayPal account at least we got that closed but still need to close the website. I found another company they used and sent them an email but have heard nothing back from them. They are the company who's software is used to raise the tickets. This is themhttp://osticket.com/ I would say get onto them too see what they know.

Have you done as I suggested in post 105 then? There is little point in complaining to people like osticket - they will just remove part of their service, but they won't shut down the website.

Also for the more recent (post PayPal) victims, who are your payments showing as made to on your credit card statements?

I ordered 4200 MP from this site yesterday lunchtime, and as of yet received nothing. I even wasted my time filling in a support card. Yeh right like I'm going to get satisfaction taking that route.
I will get back to you in regards to who my payment has been made out to for my 4200 Microsoft points which I was stupid enough to buy from these crooks. I used a debit card too which is double stupid of me.
I have phoned my bank today and I have to wait before I can forward it to the fraud dept as although the payment has been authorised by my bank. It hasn't been taken at their end.
    I will keep everyone updated.

    Update.
    Still heard nothing, unsurprisingly.
I have written to the host of Instagamepoints website asking for their removal.
I'll let you know if they get back to me.

I also wrote to the website, they got an instant reply from the website host saying I was lying. The webhost will not do anything about the situation AT ALL.

The web site owner got back to me eventually and said I'd have a refund in my account within 5 days, today is the fifth day and I have no refund. I have contacted my fraud department at my bank and they are going through the motions of getting my money back now.
  • Well it seems that there website has now been taken offline.

Well it seems that there website has now been taken offline.

The whois information appears to have been updated yesterday.

Interestingly, the registrant details - which I am sure used to show the name and address of a real person - now uses a privacy protection service to hide the registrant's details.

Worth keeping an eye on as the site may well reappear in a few days.
  • My youngest son pestered me for some points from this site on Saturday. As I was about to leave the house, I didn't check up on the site, as I would usually have done.
I have had very similar results from this company, ie. email confirmation of the payment, but no code forthcoming. The instagames site now seems to be inaccessible, so at least no-one else can be fooled by them
  • Damn!, why didn't i do a bit of googling before i stupidly sent these lowlifes money.
I too got scammed of £30 for 4200 MS points.

Used a debit card also so am worried i won't get my money back, i have contacted my card issuer and have to send them copies of emails sent to them.

As said the site is now gone, as of this morning.

    At least i'm not alone.

Anyone else worried about their name and address being registered on the site before you made payment?

    Any advice would be appreciated.
  • Well i'm afraid to say that I have been caught out by this website too. I bought or thought I was buying xbox live membership, like everyone else, received my confirmation e-mail but no code. After returning home today I tried to go onto their website which has been removed. I immedietly contacted my bank as I paid through my credit card, they confirmed that a payment has been requested, however it has not gone through yet. I explained that it appeared to be a bogus company but they said that they couldn't stop the request and it would be live for 5 days, so call back monday. Like others i'm concerned as i had to input my details to create an account.
Every year we search online for the cheapest price for xbox live, i'm afraid I will purchasing from a store in future and it has certainly made me think about online purchasing. I always check for the secure sign and thought this site had one, never again!!!!
