Paypal got back today to say they are looking into it as I changed the claim to not as described well it wasn't instant so will wait and see hopefully fraud people are onto PayPal now we have reported the site. Now just to wait to hear from PayPal. How did others get refund?
  • Hi folks this is definately some sort of scam as my son has been duped out of £30.. birthday money for some gamer points.
I opened a case with paypal to no avail they say they do not cover digital/intangible transactions so why do they let this scum use paypal even after so many of you have opened cases with them.like other people here i will not let this rest until i have done everything in my power to see that this does not happen again and to let the world know that paypal is not as safe and secure as they are led to beleive.
And for the people who got their money back can we see what the outcome of the resolution was that you logged thanks.
Best wishes to all who are pusrsuing this further.
  • Hi All

I was in exactly the same situation as most here. I paid £28.33 for 13 months gold membership and got nothing despite several ' support tickets ' and emails without response.

Paypal decided to close my claim on the grounds of ' # INTANGIBLE ITEM/DIGITAL CODE ' and I also had no luck recovering the money from my bank. However after kicking up a stink with Paypal they have finally refunded me my money so don't give up on it.

The site is clearly dodgy and I would hope something gets done about by the authorities that be.
  • the web site were this "website" was created from said to me if I think it is fraudulent to get the authorities to contact them and they will help them so if anyone has not contact the fraud police please could you do so and get them to contact http://bossthemes.com/ who will help them out. I am going to get the other half to call PayPal later and I am going to give them this sites info so they can contact them. Maybe this will get somewhere fingers crossed

sorry it was this site that said to contact them boldchat.com it appears they are using them..an automated system? http://www.boldchat.com/support.asp?tab=4 if they can help too all the better... is it me or they using this http://www.boldchat.com/email-management.asp?tab=2 maybe that is why our tickets were ending up in the bin :-)
  • hi guys i had my 28 quid refunded from paypal i kept ringing and leaving comments on the case on the pay pal website ten days later i had the money back in the bank don't give up when it asks u to close the dispute just give another reason and it keeps the claim open then after ten days paypal went in my favor and refunded good luck
  • I purchased 3 lots of 2100 points 17 Jan. Not delivered immediately so I logged a ticket straight away. I had total of 2 replies, one automated and one from Julie W saying they would be resent. I have since opened a complaint with PayPal who are still dealing with this.

I eventually went to GAME to get points who were slightly more expensive but received codes very quickly.

As the old saying goes cheaper does not mean better!!

Have checked site on WHOIS and is run by a Julie Wooding. Site appears to have now dissappeared.

Definite scam. Contact PAYPAL claims if you paid via them. Paypal have obviously not vetted this company before allowing them to use their services so I hold PAYPAL equally liable

PayPal have decided at this "We have concluded our investigation into this case. Unfortunately, at this
time we are unable to decide this claim in your favor." I had a right go at the person in PayPal as they say they are still looking into this site and how it is using its PayPal account!!! So it looks like the more you get onto them the likelier you are to get a refund!!! How is that fair. The bigger you shout and complain the more chance you have of getting a refund!!! If they refund one person they should refund everyone, I am really annoyed with them and will be passing on all the info I found that PayPal can't be bothered to do, onto PayPal everyday by email. I just can't understand how they can close the claim when the seller never got back to them again and that they are still investigating the site. Also I called them today after receiving the email yet PayPal have it on their list it is before the email!!
I will NEVER use PayPal again.
  • Just sent them an email with all the details so much for company policy you have to scarem and shout for a refund...glad to see now that our reports are now showing up on the first page of Google. Canyoutrstthem.com get on there I have logged mine under instagamepoints ( not the London one ) so if others could do the same. Even those who got a refund
  • Right so ,I keep emailing PayPal to get my refund yet they keep coming back like a broken record I have given them all the details even threatened then with the small clains court yet they emailed back to say I hadn't a leg to satnd on basically but the allowed a digital items only website to set up an account and I was under the impression that PayPal are there for the buyer I for one will never be using PayPal again!!!! What did others put in their emails to PayPal? If some one could please PM me a copy so I have the exact same info and see if they refuse that! I think it is because I am dealin g with the Irish PayPal I am getting nowhere.
