All I can tell you is not to give up, my original claim was denied due to the intangible rule, however I then appealed under the item not as described which keeps the case open, under the comments for the appeal I sent a link to this forum and asked "If you check this forum there are paypal customers who have been refunded over this item. Why have some people been refunded and others refused ?" I sent that on 19th Feb and got this reply today
We have concluded our investigation into your case and have decided in your favour.
You have indicated that a partial refund of 31.82 GBP would be satisfactory. We were able to recover 31.82 GBP, and this amount has been credited to you. Please allow 5 working days for this adjustment to be posted.
If you are due any additional funds, we will make our best effort to
recover the balance from the seller.
If the seller's account has insufficient funds to complete the refund owed
to you, please be assured that we will take appropriate action against the
seller's account, which may include limitation of the seller's account
privileges.
I have checked my paypal account and the £31.82 has been refunded.
The moral to the story here is - If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try again.
Hope this helps anyone who had their initial clam refused by paypal.0 -
Paypal rejected my initial claim but I appealed it and changed it to item wasn't as described. This morning I got my refund of £28 and pence. Happy days.
Disgraceful that this site is still functioning and paypal haven't been able to close them down.0 -

Also I showed PayPal that there is no order on my order history on the site.0

Disgraceful that this site is still functioning and paypal haven't been able to close them down.
Paypal appear to have taken away their account, as the site is now directly taking taking credit card details on their site.
It is also possible that PayPal may have tried and failed to get the site taken down. Unfortunately, the site is hosted in Singapore, and I don't know how legit the hosts are so they may just be ignoring requests.
What everyone who has been scammed by this site should do is write to abuse@vodien.com (the hosts) and complete the form here http://www.enom.com/help/AbusePolicy.aspx (the domain registrars), point them to this thread and see if they will act.
If you get nowhere then report vodien.com here http://publicdomainregistry.com/report-abuse/ for failing to deal with hosting a criminal site0 -
I have also suffered fraud from this site however I am in a position to do something about it as I work in the gaming industry! Check my post about it: xboxer360.com/news/investigation-instagamepoints-com-fraudulent-activity/0

i've also been caught out by this so called company, my alarm bells started ringing when i didnt get my points instantly and like many others had no response when trying to contact them, also i noticed on my order it showed as being £28 but on my c/c statement it was showing as £19 so looks like it was $28 so guessing there from the usa or similar.
i raised the issue with the fraud department at my bank and managed to get a refund and they are dealing with it from there0 -
Finally!
Had my first Paypal claim rejected due to seller saying they sent the code.
I changed the claim to 'item not as described' and that eventually got rejected due to being an electronic good and my case was closed.
I phoned suport and got brick walled.
But, after reading here that several people had been getting refunds I raised a complaint against ebay.
Just got emailed....they are refunding my money.
so pester-power finally worked. (but shh, don't tell the kids!)0 -
I tried to purchase microsoft points from instagamepoints last saturday, it didnt offer me paypal but visa secure payments. Payment went through, email confirming order was recieved, but after 3 days of waiting I still have no points. I am livid and feel conned, they don't reply to the support tickets and after leaving my details on their answering service I have still had no response whatsoever. I am having to try and claim the money back through my bank which are disputing the transaction. I will also be contacting trading standards, as they should not be allowed to trade and rip people off.0

Well dont go for the cheapest 1 would be a start.
Are these the points for PC gaming or Xbox ?
If Xbox amazon have the 2100 points for a little more than instpoints.0 -
