Hi there today I purchased microsoft points (Xbox live currency) aswell as a 13 month xbox live subscription from instagamepoints.com. On purchasing I did it through paypal card not account but just card details via paypal. The website states instant delivery as soon as payment clearz which it has and I am still waiting, It has been about 8 hours and as much as this is not a long time it is compared to instant. After a few hours of waiting I decided to try the customer support which goes straight to a household answering machine which I found odd and alarm bells started ringing. I have Googled the website and nothing cpmes up apart from the website itself. I was just wondering if anyone else has had dealings with this website and also if I have been scammed what protection I have for getting my money back. Thanks for any help received.
Nico Stuart.

New site. Too early to tell if dodgy, but at least there is an address if something goes wrong.0 -
If it is a small (home run?) business, they may not be there, or watching purchases over the weekend? Perhaps wait until Monday before trying them again.
Unsure exactly what you mean ref the payment method, but is the payment showing in your Paypal account transactions?0 -
I thought that but their is a address on thr website that when googled doesnt match any buisness or residential property. Also the address that is registered for the domain is diffrent. The payment method had only one option of paypal which I chose and confirmed my prder which then took me to the mobile paypal website whixh gave me the option to use my account or bank details. I chowe bank details as I dont have an account and proceeded to confirm payment checked my bank seen the funds had came out and waited for my codes which dodnt come. I recieved email confirmation from paypal of the payments from service@paypal.com which have a receipt ID on them but no transaction ID which is what paypal ask for as reference. If the paypal link was not genuine and part of the website I bought from then would there be any way to get my money back. Thanks ane kind regards.0

I've just done a dummy order and it does take you to the real PayPal site for the payment.
If you are talking about a link in the 'PayPal' email then hover your mouse over it and look at the bottom of your browser window for the address that the link actually goes to. If this is anything other than PayPal then the email is likely a fake.
As to raising a dispute without a transaction id, I think you have to ring PayPal, but I'm not sure as I always pay from my account balance.0 -
My son would like some Microsoft Points and having done some googling this site seems very cheap and as the name suggests...'instant'. I usually get Gold membership to xboxlive instantly and cheaply by shopping around and would like this transaction to take place same day, or else defeats the object. The site seems legit, but having seen this thread I contacted the site and raised a support ticket, which they responded automatically to, issuing a reference number. keep you posted.0

The site doesn't appear to be as instant as they would like you to believe based on the OP's experience. Perhaps there is a reason why they are very cheap (it doesn't cost much to supply nothing).0 -
It seems you can register a virtual office at that address so I suspect the person who has set up that website isn't anywhere near Northumberland Avenue. Sorry, looks dodgy to meITV Winners Club #87 :eek:0

What exactly do you expect them to say in their response to your support ticket? I'm 99.99% certain they aren't going to say "We are scammers send us your money and we'll send you nothing in return".
Seems a bit of a pointless exercise to me.0 -
