    Good evening all. :hello:

First of all, :bdaycake: Happy birthday LouBee, happy anniversary Catznine, and :o apologies to anyone I have missed.

Busy day at W**K today, so quite glad to be home. We are quite ridiculously busy at the moment, so are all a bit fraught.

Its my day off tomorrow, so will potter into town and see my mortgage man, then do a wee bit of shopping on the market, I think. DH and I have started getting all our fruit and veg on the market as we were quite disappointed with the farmaround north delivery we got the other week. I think we would rather pick our own. I know, I know, we're just plain fussy!

I think I might dust down my bicycle tomorrow morning. I've had it over a year and have never ridden it! When it arrived (in bits) we couldn't work out how to put it together. :embarasse My Mum paid for it to go to the bike shop for my birthday 2 months ago, to be sorted out, and now I think its time to see if I can actually still ride a bike! I think my problem will be I'm quite a bit bigger now than I was then, so my tummy might get in the way?? _pale_ I will be so embarrassed if that is the case. So, planning to get up under cover of darkness to try it out! Can't do with being seen... And must be home before 8 as that is when the works coach goes past. Don't want my colleagues laughing at me...

Not a great deal of OS going on, though DH is down at the allotment kicking the cultivator. I think it needs some spare parts.

Hope you all have a good evening, and hugs to all who want or need them.:grouphug:

We have heard that the flights are more expensive from Doncaster but it's so easy for us. Door to door in 5 mins. I suppose if you have family to pay for you need to look for a better price, as sometimes the supplements can be equivalent to your spending money:eek:

No its just I have been going up to 5 times a year, we have a house there, plus I am tight!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Received this in an email from a friend today and had to share it with you :) - OK some bits are OS and some are not, but it made me giggle :D

Stuff a miniature marshmallow in the bottom of a sugar cone to prevent ice-cream drips.

    The Real Woman's Way

Just suck the ice cream out of the bottom of the cone, for God's sake. You are probably lying on the couch with your feet up eating it anyway.

    Delia's Way

To keep potatoes from budding, place an apple in the bag with the potatoes.

    The Real Woman's Way

Buy smash and keep it in the cupboard for up to a year.

    Delia's Way

When a cake recipe calls for flouring the baking tin, use a bit of the dry cake mix instead and there won't be any white mess on the outside of the cake.

Asda sell cakes. They even do decorated versions.

If you accidentally over-salt a dish while it's still cooking, drop in a potato slice.

    The Real Woman's Way

If you over salt a dish while you are cooking, that's tough !!!!!!.

Please recite with me the Real Woman's motto: "I made it and you will eat it and I don't care how bad it tastes."

    Delia's Way

Wrap celery in aluminum foil when putting in the refrigerator and it will keep for weeks

    The Real Woman's Way

It could keep forever. Who eats it?

Cure for headaches: Take a lime, cut it in half and rub it on your forehead. The throbbing will go away.

    The Real Woman's Way

Cure for headaches: Take a lime, cut it in half and drop it in 8 ounces of vodka. Drink the vodka. You might still have the headache, but you wont give a sh*t.

If you have a problem opening jars, try using latex dishwashing gloves. They give a non-slip grip that makes opening jars easy.

Why do I have a man?

Freeze leftover wine into ice cubes for future use in casseroles

    Left over wine???? Hello!!!!!
