    Good morning everyone.

What a beautiful morning here. Like a lot of others, I have jobs to do inside but may have to find some URGENT gardening to take me outside today :D

Tidying, ebaying, urgent gardening (), ironing and deciding what to have for dinner tonight. Update finances spreadsheet and have a quick look around here.

Hugs to anyone who needs one x

    Morning :hello:

Am working from home this morning until the fridge doctor arrives. This is the first time I've ever got away with working from home rather than having to take a half day, and I don't actually have the facilities to do so properly (i.e. no work laptop or connection to the company network). But I have a data exercise I urgently need to do, so I ran the relevant bits off the database yesterday and emailed them to myself at home so I can just do some Excel numbercrunching. If I run out of work before the fridge man gets here, I'll call my boss and get him to email me something else.

It's quite nice being here with the window open, even if I do have to work! :D

Last night I got to see my friend, the opera singer, after all - we went for a glass of wine after the performance. It was lovely to catch up with her. She is one of those friends who I do not see very often, but when we meet up it's as if we have never been apart :A

Once I do get into the office I will probably work till quite late, as it's "one of those weeks" - i.e. I have a deadline which would normally be next Monday, brought forward to this Friday because of the Bank Holiday, AND my boss and I have loads of extra bits and pieces which MUST be done this week, AND I'm missing out this morning by not having access to the network, AND I am out most evenings (yesterday, tomorrow, Thursday, Friday) so only limited ability to stay late in order to get things done! As I have the chance to knuckle down today, I'm going to make the most of it!

    ((((hugs)))) anybody who needs them
smokybabe I hope LO is better soon
PenPen and dlb - ooooh new hair :j :j :D
Penny-Pincher!! - sorry it's not going too well ATM.

Anyway, suppose I'd better get on with it. Just as soon as I've entered my daily Pigsback competitions and made a cuppa...

    Love Rzl xx

    Hello all!

Just a quickie from me, to say Hi! Another glorious day here, and I've been to the gym, so just had my shower and am now enjoying a well-earned cup of tea!:D

It's the second day of DH's early retirement and so far so good:rotfl: :rotfl:(except for the fact that now he's at home I can't loiter here half the day:o ) I'm beginning to get withdrawal symptons:D
Upside is he helped in the garden yesterday for the first time in our marriage:eek: Actually he's a good labourer and follows instructions well, so who knows he might even learn to like gardening in time;)

    Must go, tea's finished.

Hope you have good days, and (((((hugs))) to the poorly people.

    CMxx

    Hi everyone.

I’ve not posted on the daily thread before but have been reading your posts for a while and feel I’m getting to know you lovely people. :A I’ve been OS all my married life (32years) but have picked up some great tips from you guy’s since joining this site. Thank you all.:T
Today it’s a lovely sunny day in Doncaster, just checked the airport site and there are 11incoming planes and 10 outgoing so I will give them a wave when out in the garden later.:hello:
Yesterday I printed off the Flylady list and made a good start on organised cleaning. There is only OH and me, and just lately I’ve only been doing a swish and swipe each day so it’s ready for a good bottoming. I should be good at that as believe me I have plenty of Bottom!!:D
Bed has been stripped and sheets are in the washing machine waiting to be pegged out. Extra jobs to do today are finishing cleaning the windows outside and sowing more raddish, spring onion and salad leaves. Easy day on the food front, Cheese and onion flan, salad and new potatoes for tea and hm veg soup for lunch.
Right I’m going to make a start, will catch up with you all later.

Happy Birthday Happy Anniversary and Hugs to all who need them.

    I've been Money Tipped!
    :hello: Morning!

It's lovely and bright here but windy! Not sure I will get a lot done in the garden today!

Thanks for the anniversary wishes, can't believe it's been 31 years since we tripped down the aisle! He loved the card I made, I scanned a photo of us signing the register in church and mounted it scrapbook fashion in colours to match, Apricot to match my flowers and choc brown to match dh's suit. Even found some tiny white buds from the top of our cake to spell out 31 :D made him laugh!

Tonights roast dinner has been shelved as I am being taken out for dinner!:j no washing up!

After dh left for work I browsed online and found (and have practised) a way to make yarn using old plastic carrier bags! Now to think of something to make with them! Was thinking I could make some waterproof placemats for the garden table. Sainsburys bags are now a lovely orange colour so might have to scrounge a few from friends. Keeps them out of landfill sites though.

Samsam - the chilli was lovely, will definately make again! I added soya mince as dh needs to feel he has 'meat' in his dinner!;)

    Have a lovely day!

(((Hugs))) to all that need them today

    Catz x

made some fresh bread this morning...yum.

Washing out on the line. Will put some more in later once that lot is dry. Babe is ont he floor having a nice chat with the ceiling. Our visit to the hospital yesterday was successful...kind of. They wanted to stick to electrodes to her in order to test her hearing for the second time...but she was wide awake and wasn't showing any signs of sleeping.

So whilst someone sat in front another went behind her and either shook a rattle or said hello in order to test her responses. They were happy, but still want to see her again in about 3 months. Once we left within 5-10 minutes she was sound alseep. Isn't that always the way.

So I'm happy for the moment.

We're getting another shared ownership house. And so far all the forms are done, the solicitor is chosen and we're now waiting to see if we get the mortgage or not. Fingers, arms, legs, toes (and everything else) crossed.

Next job...as Lily is as happy as a little loon...is to go uptown and pick up some milk and foruma powder. I'm going to change brands to something a little cheaper. I'm hoping she'll cope fine...

Hugs to those that need them and a big hello to everyone.

    I'm getting a new fridge freezer :j :j

Engineer said it was fixable but not worth the effort, as since I bought it the model has been enhanced to avoid the problem I've got, so they are going to send me the enhanced one - which apparently also has a quieter motor :j

    Anyway... off to work now
