Thanks everyone for the lovely welcome.:D
I’ve had a really busy day today, the house is sparkly clean and the windows you can actually see through them now. I got so carried away cleaning I’ve done what I had planned for tomorrow. Then I sat down with a cuppa and fell asleep, not for long though DH came home early. Bless him !!

Catznine Happy Anniversary Love the wedding photo . It reminds me of mine in 1974.

The trend this week seems to be getting hair cuts and colours, must admit mine needs doing it’s more grey than blonde, payday today so might ring the hairdressers tomorrow for an appointment.

Tonight I will ring my DS2 in Plymouth, he’s not been very well and he’s been working away in Glastonbury and not been able to go to the Doctor’s again yet. He’s had a upset stomach for about 4 weeks now, he had one lot of tests but they said nothing wrong, I’ve told him to follow it up.. Trouble is when they’re 300miles away and they are 27yrs old you can’t do it for them. I have to rely on DIL to sort him out.

Mrs MW I must live near you! I don't really mind the areoplanes, especially when I'm on one:D

Thanks Queenie, the username came about because I was always baking for the Farmer's Market

Right, off to make a cup of tea for both of us, and scrub the potatoes for tea. I will look in later.

    afternoon-title.gif everyone.

Just picked up the two terrors from school and prepared tea. LO has gastroenteritis and a ear infection, the GP has given him some antibiotics and some more dioralyte for us. He still is only drinking sips and is laying on the settee feeling very sorry for himself. OH has been getting him to take a sip or two every 10 mins or so and I am doing the same for the rest of the day. He has eaten nothing today but has taken the calpol and antibiotic which is staying down.
Poor little love, I just hope he picks up with the fluids soon. Thank you all for your hugs, I've told him his 'puter aunties are thinking of him.

2765.gif Loubee, I hope you are having a good day :D

    also

happyAnniversarygoldrings.gifcatznine, the photo looks lovely. I hope you too are having a good day. :D

Welcome flourgirl, It's nice to see a new face.

Anyway enough from me, off to see to LO and then get the washing in and then serve up tea.

    Have a good night everyone,

    Smoky. xxxx

Quick Happy Birthday to Loubee :bdaycake: have a good one!

Moiliere - you can make eton mess lower fat by using slightly sweetened lowfat creme fraiche instead of cream, but serve it straight away or the meringue will dissolve! Otherwise, sod it and just have a smaller portion of the full fat stuff if you still want to be careful. Sometimes you can't beat the full fat or full sugar version of something, just eat less off it less frequently and make sure you enjoy it when you do have it! :T

    Good Afternoon All

catzine, thats a great idea ref the carrier bags. My ex MIL used to make xmas wreaths out of white pedal bin liners & decorate them! Excellent photo by the way! You look so happy! Happy Anniversary!

Welcome flourgirl. Hope by living nr the airport is not too noisy. My mum used to live nr Gatwick, she enjoyed watching the planes go over, and its a noise you get used to!

bargain rzl excellent news ref the freezer, they condemned my washing machine, after they couldnt get the parts for it, and I had a new one. Its worth having the insurance IMO.
    moiliere your'e welcome!
pooky & stefjb Im so tempted to do that at the shopping till, not sure If I could ever do it though!
Loubee like the pics of New York! Happy Birthday Also!!!

More washing has been on the line since my return from work.
I had another satisfied customer at work who told "to go and jump in a lake"
everyone burst out laughing when I told them! Luckily he was on the phone, otherwise I would have dragged him in with me!

Best make a start on dinner, sausage casserole has been bubbling away all day in the SC. Smells lovely.
    Iron uniforms for work/school tomorrow.

    Catch you later
    Love Emma xxx

I have 2 chicken carcases in the freezer. Can you make stock in a slowcooker?
Oh yes indeedy!! :D:D:D Funny you should mention that, explained to a friend of mine how to do it on the phone the other evening and have had a couple of text back (from her and her parents!) extolling it's virtues and telling me just how many litres of stock they now have in their freezer :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Here's the OS MSE [strike]way[/strike] thread ;)

    Slow Cooker Chicken Stock

Catznine - I have a peg loom for making carrier bag rugs, placemats, peg bags. If your dh is any good at DIY, they are quite simple to make ...

mrs mix & Catznine - enjoy your night's out tonight ... we want all the details tomorrow please :D
