Hi Everybody, hope you are all well! HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOUBEE!
Am quite excited as tonight I get to cook my duck! (thanks PP for your duck suggestions - and of course you can come round have some pancakes!) Rather than it going to waste in SILs freezer, she has given it me and I intend to have lots of scrummy duck pancakes and tortilla wraps!
I think it will be an evening in the kitchen as I've also got some yoghurt to use up today, so I rummaged in the freezer, found some blackberries and bought some double cream, so I can make delicious homemade ice cream!

Happy Birthday loubee
I'll dig out a photo of my wedding in 1973 in November when we celebrate 34 years, then you will all have a laugh!
Looks like there are 4 of us not far from each other, Pen-Pen, MrsMW, Flourgirl and myself. Yes you can get some cheap flights from Thomsonfly, but recently they have been way oot during school hols, etc., even if you go on to book the day they come out. Their constant late departures and arrivals have driven us mad, this year even though we have the drive we have gone to Jet2, saving £000's, over £100 each on one flight alone. Their departures home suit us better too.
(((((((((Big hugs)))))))))) to your LO Smoky.
Well so far so good, the veins are fine, SO WHAT ON EARTH IS HURTING THEN!!, but it has put my mind at rest as my Mum had a clot in hers when a lot older than I am.
Off to tackle this paper mountain.

Hi All! haven't read the rest of the thread yet - hugs to all in need, congrats to any birthday people.
Just had to share a discovery I made today! DH took me out for relatively short drive as being hostage in house due to my bad back is making me crawl up the walls! Anyway, we ended up at a Tesco extra (not something we have at home...I bought three tops, 4 tumblers, a value laundry basket and 2 shirts for OH. Cost? £44. HMM, not too good for someone trying to cut back - BUT _ we live in lovely market town (voted best place to live in a year or two ago, and in our one and only small dept. store they've had this top I really fancied...I tried it on and it did nothing for me so didn't buy...but it would have cost £49 !!!! Now I really do know that we live in an expensive area! All today's bits - and probably the petrol covered too!
By the way, my old laundry basket was the plastic lid of the ali-baba type washing basket I had as a wedding present in 1970! £1.47 for a value replacement seems fair enough!!!Resolution:

Crazychik it's not too noisy with the areoplanes, we are used to them. We lived here when the RAF were stationed here and my hubby lived in the village as a boy when they used to fly Vulcan Bombers from the station. Besides he's an areoplane fanatic. Now he's got a private pilot's license so he's always on the look out for victims, sorry, passengers :rotfl: to take for a trip around.
Donny-gal, Pen Pen and MrsMW, it's great to know Doncaster is on the OS map:T
We have heard that the flights are more expensive from Doncaster but it's so easy for us. Door to door in 5 mins. I suppose if you have family to pay for you need to look for a better price, as sometimes the supplements can be equivalent to your spending money:eek:0 -
Flourgirl, in another life I lived first at Hexthorpe and then at Scawsby.......Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0
