Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 30/04/2007. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Good morning, Amie and all who follow.
I've been awake since 2.30. Can't blame the baby as he's fast asleep. Just wanted to say hi and hope you all have a good day. Special hugs to Penny Pincher. x
Okay, stuff I have to get done:
Menu plan for the week, grocery shop, clean one kitchen cupboard, wipe down fridge, scrub 2 paving stones in back yard (I'm flybabying the yard - too much to do in one go.)
If I manage to get another couple of hours sleep later, I'll try to go to the garden centre when DS1 is at nursery too - I have my eye on a couple of plants for the border.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
Hi Amie & GR
Another 4.15 am riser. Didn't make it in here yesterday, bit fed up with myself, being mardy probably as I don't have as much wrong with my legs as some others on here who are in pain all the time, but I don't like hurting! Anyway hopefully get some answers after today, I think it is not knowing what is causing it is the reason that is getting to me. I know I probably shouldn't have gone back to work yesterday, but I did and will today for half a day.
Weight loss, well I am weighing myself in kg's as I don't want to see the stones, last week I went up 1 kg, this week .8 less than last week, so I suppose I have lost, but not below starting weight yet!
(((hugs))) to all.

Amie, donny-gal, Pen Pen and GR.
Again, it has the makings of a very beautiful day here in Wales.
LO is still poorly, we are now in to day 3 . He had no diarrhea yesterday until last night and threw up. He wouldn't settle on his own and so has sayed down with us. Overnight he has spiked a temp and so he's off to the docs today. His cheeks are beetroot and I think his back teeth have a lot to do with what's going on however, I am becoming unhappy with his fluid intake and it won't hurt to get him looked at.
Os wise, the usual clean through, washing and ironing to keep on top of and lunch will be fruit and a wholemeal tuna salad sandwich, tea pasta with hm sauce, (meat free for me.)to all in need today.
Pen Pen and d-g, I hope you feel a little better as the day goes on.If you are patient in one moment of anger, you will escape 100 days of sorrow.......Chinese proverb

:hello: Goood Morning All
Beautiful morning out this morning!
Furniture finally arrived at 5pm :j Now it’s just a case of putting it all together (flatpack!) that should be good for a laugh. Not doing it straight away though because there are still a couple more items to come.
Out this morning for coffee and a bun with a friend, it’s her birthday today. I’ve made her birthday card and I have a lovely little “Pamper Gift” (free with certain products from M&S) and a home decorated candle, which she’ll enjoy as a gift. Don’t know how long it’ll go on for, so I haven’t made any plans for much else. I do need to go shopping but I have a list and I’ll be sticking to it!
SB - hope your LO is better soon - it's awful to see them ill!
DG - :j well done on your weightloss :T
PP - hope you manage to get that essay done
GR - what plants are you on the look out for?
Amie - Hope you've planned where you're going to move all that stuff to before you begin, it'll make the job a lot easier/faster if you have a plan!
Have a good day everyone ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Good Morning and Happy 1st of May to AMIE, DONNY-GAL, GINGHAM and all who follow.:j :j
DONNY-GAL – you really shouldn’t be going back to work yet. Hopefully, as you say, you’ll get some answers today! Good luck!:A :A
Didn’t get much time on here yesterday because I got carried away after re-arranging my kitchen. I remembered I had picked up a huge box of old-fashioned sweet-shop type storage jars in a charity shop last year but had just washed them and shoved them in a cupboard because I didn’t have time to do anything with them. They are about eight inches high with blue lids and they now look lovely with all my herbs, spices, sugars etc in them. I’ve put them on my open shelf unit in the kitchen and even DH said they look good. Thing is, it took ages to organise – worth it , though. Then I had to go out and spend some more money on storage containers for my bread flours now that I’ve started making bread. Anyway, I am really pleased with how it all looks and it will make cooking a lot easier!
I have just had a look through yesterday’s thread because I missed such a lot of it.
CRAZYCHIK – I’ll list a few more items on eBay this week; out of eight items I sold six and made the small but still useful amount of £27.28p! I have found that very encouraging. I’ll be bombarding you with questions from now on! I’m still impressed that you had so many items ending on the same day! I hope I get that good at it!:T
MRS MIX – glad DS has been diagnosed at last and hope he is recovering.:T :T
SAMSAM – your magazine sounds interesting! What is it about? Oh, and do you ever rest? :j :j
DEBTFREEHOPEFUL – hope your walking improves; mine was bad after having DS2 and I hated it because I usually walk at about 90 miles an hour and I found it really frustrating. I would see the doctor if it carries on.:A :A
TWINK – yes, my teddy IS real, I’m sure of it.  I smoothed the fur out of his eyes and he seemed to look up at me and say ‘thanks’! – my poor DH really thinks I’ve lost the plot now! I’ve called him Edward the 1st and I am knitting him a scarf! I have a very little teddy that we always take on holiday with us so he features in a lot of our holiday pictures. He has a little case he takes with him! Now I think of it, DH always reminds me not to forget Ted when we’re packing so perhaps he’s as mad as me after all. Ted has also been on lots of holidays with other people – I have pictures of him in Zimbabwe, Zambia, India, Egypt, Nepal and most of Europe!
SMOKY – hope your LO is better today?:A :A
BARGAIN – thanks for the tip re sugar!:T:T
Well, on the list today is a huge pile of ironing – did some yesterday but got fed up with it! Chicken and bacon stir-fry with salad and new potatoes for dinner and stewed rhubarb and yog for pudding. Need to do some de-cluttering of my office space now that most of my filing is done. All of it was done until the post arrived yesterday! DH has put up a mini notice-board above my desk with some hooks on it for hanging my ‘to-do’ lists which I think is a brilliant idea – he thought of it when he saw me constantly rummaging about in the dangerously wobbly pile of papers that lives on the kitchen table and cursing when I couldn’t find what I was looking for. So, at least now I can file in an organised way – I hope! I also have to repot a couple of indoor plants and get some birthday cards in the post and I’m going to make some muslin bags for storing my HM bread.
(((hugs))) for all those not feeling a hundred per cent today. Will look in again later!KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:

Good morning everyone,
Not much planned for today - 2 LOs here, and one of those is at nursery this morning. Sorted out the shed on Sunday, so need to take a load of things down to the dump, so think we might do that before collecting the LO. Hopefully, it will be nice today (rained yesterday) although the rain woke me up at 4 this morning!!! Looks ok at the moment, so think i might risk putting the WM on (yesterdays had to be picked in because of the rain, and is now draped all over the house. Had been starting to feel a bit better about myself resently, but yesterday in the shower i found a whole new set of bruises all over my legs (only contact bruising, but still not nice) so a bit down, as that means my levels have dropped - just hope they pick up before im due at the hospital in 2 weeks time!!!
Cooking roast pork tonight for dinner, as we were out on Sunday, and i forgot to take it out of the freezer until yesterday, so looking forward to that later.
Hope everyone has a lovely day,
((HUGS)) to anyone who needs one xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Hello everyone
smokybabe, I hope LO is ok, poor love.
I have an appointment today at Drs. Don't often go to the DRs, and don't think much of their appointment system - they will only make appointments for the day, or several weeks ahead. Luckily my constant phoning yesterday meant that I managed to gat a cancelation, otherwise there are no appointments until the end of May. What kind of a stupid system is that?
Anyway, opinions on stupid DR appointment systems aside:D. Flylady this morning, already have a washload on as DS4 (3) had an 'accident' in his bed overnight. Want to get a monthly menu plan made up today, I usually plan and shop weekly but want to try to get a 'big shop' done this month to see how it goes - feeling a little overwhelmed by it at the moment. Swimming with kids this afternoon.
Have a good day, everyone.0
