So you've opened and used one and are going to do so with the second?

So you signed for something 'unseen'....twice in two days...really? Do you not wonder why you've got this problem. In the future just say no sig. until you see what is being delivered perhaps is perhaps best?

Its not that I have the problem, I didn't MAKE them send me an item. They didn't send it because I didn't see what it was yesterday. They are the ones who have messed up, NOT me. This is THEIR problem, NOT mine.

No. it is still boxed up. I said because the one from yesterday has light bleed issue, then I could check which of the two is worse. considering it. but it is still sealed.
  • open it and see which one is best before you send any of them back.
  • i would contact John Lewis by phone and in writing and advise them that they have delivered two TVs and not one, the one surplus to requirements is now considered by you to be "Unsolicited Goods", you require collection at their cost at a mutually convenient time and that they have, say 28 days to collect it or it will be disposed of.

You must store the TV safely, ensure it is 100% complete and undamaged in any way, including packaging, instructions, etc.

It is not unsolicited goods at all. It, if the story is true, is a simple mistake.

    simple mistake

Job sheet comes in to deliver TV and remove old TV, this gets allocated to a delivery team with a copy of job sheet, other part of job sheet gets filed.

whats most likely happened is office copy of job sheet never got filed from first job, so was again picked up and allocated to second team resulting in second TV.

It is still your responsibility to inform JL of this second TV

no but this is the most likely cause of how this has happened through a duplicate job sheet

What make/model is the tv you've got two of? I sell this stuff for a living so may be able to advise if it's just a pants tv... although most LED tvs tend to have some light bleed.
