    Hmm...

An interesting post. You call Apple users sheep but there are far more Android phones out there, mine included, so I'd say the term sheep applies more to the rest of us. About 70% of mobiles are Android while about 15% are Apple

Not quite. Id say it was because there are more makes of phone now that use Android as their OS then it is people buying an Android phone Because it is an Android based phone.

    There is a difference

The point was, it is now seen as a must have device, often people are hooked from a very early age (paid for initially by parents), the tendency as soon as they hit 18 is to sign up to the latest phone/upgrade contract and continually have to have the latest phone to keep up with the jones's, whether they can afford it or not, sometimes with concurrent contracts and multiple phones. £40/month for the rest of your life is not a trivial amount of money to most people, nor are defaults.

I agree with closed. To put things into perspective many people over the OS board spend less than £60 per month on food. A dumb phone costs < £50, using PAYG sims costs around £40 a year. What mission critical problem does a smart phone and a data plan solves to justify its cost?

But as someone doing the job as a debt advisor, it is often not the phone causing them to cut back on food. The mobile is often their only telephone and Internet access, tobacco and sky are often more costly things that are "must haves..."

It's great to see the non Apple users getting totally irate from even the mention of the word 'Apple'.

I don't mind the word Apple, but i hate the i. Pass me my iPhone, has anybody seen my iPhone, sorry about the quality of the picture i took it on my iPhone. No other phone users refer to their mobile by it's name, it's a phone or a mobile.

OMFG !!!!! Is nothing sacred from the money-grabbing machine that is Apple ??????? How many catholics live in the countries that apple sells in ???

I bet they wouldn't host The Pagan's Guide To The Equinox on iTunes as it wouldn't generate the revenue
    ......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D

The trolling would be in your mind then, and I don't think much of your considered "opinion".

I posted their Q1 earnings exactly as they released them, and without any sort of pro or con leaning to the facts.

My only personal comment reflects my amazement that they sold so many iPhone 5's considering all the "flop" stories.

The only way you might see a troll is if you look in a mirror.

Surely, if you don't want to debate Apple you stay out of Apple threads?
So the title of the thread is "Apples Q1 results"?

The 1st advert i saw for the Iphone 5 says it all....

It was about the earphones being ear shaped.... So the best selling feature they could think of was that???

BIL was an apple nut, Happily queue for 48 hours to get his hands on the latest creation. He wouldnt have a clue what he was getting and how it bettered the old one.
But he would be there anyway.

He got the 1st one i said is your bluetooth on i will send you a file. You cant do that he said..... Ive been doign that since having motorola flip phones....
But you cant do it on a modern phone that costs how much??

Currently an android fan. Not because its an android or its a Samsung. Because its genuinely better.

All my apps are free, App my films are free. Its all free.
No hacking manipulating the firmware. Tick a box saying allowed any apps and its works.

Was this thread really an effort to hide the truth that apple share price is nose diving and they lost their most valuable company position because of poor phone sales?
