There certainly is, open more cashier points, simple.

    No brainer really.

Sure, they'll get out the plywood and construct more counters, and they'll get a couple of up-for-it front line staff to go at it and make a few new cashiers.

OR customers could open their minds for a change and try new ways of doing things. Just a thought.

I can assure you that I am not " out of touch with todays society ", I just do not like some jumped up bank cashier telling me what is best for my needs.

They know the stuff inside out, and are well aware of the benefits self-service stuff can give; how do you they don't know what's best for your needs?

    Nobody asked you to..

You obviously take the Banks " brain washed " view, that you know what is best for customers, well clearly from feedback on this site, you are wrong in many cases.

The bank cashier is merely making a suggestion surely the bank in question would be offering a disservice to its customers if it wasn't promoting more convenient ways of banking, at the end of the day you can always respond with a polite 'No, thank you'.

In regards to your comment about feedback on this site about banks. Well, this forum only acts as a snapshot as to what customers want, and is not a true reflection of the 'bigger picture'. We continually conduct Customer Service Surveys via our telephony teams, surely if this was as a big a problem as you are making out things would have changed. At the end of the day we are a business, the last thing we want is customers leaving us and going elsewhere...
