Thought not.
so as I already said if you didn't get prompted by the bank then you would still leave it in your account so even if it's not the best on the market the bank is still helping you out??0 -
The reason that there are queues is because the bank do not employ enough staff. end of.
Whilst you may not be happy to have to serve customers, it is their choice of how they pay, get information.
Remember, these nuisance customers keep you in a job.
No doubt you also disagree with bank charges, so you are happy to get FREE banking but will still scrutinise the bank for not employing enough peopl when actually they provid evarious methods but you choose not to use them. if you haven't get better things to do with your time then lucky you.0 -

^^ this. Complaining because you personally choose not to use a machine, and instead want to queue with all the other people who think they're being principled/are scared of machines is stupid. Quite, quite stupid.
Although knowing Inactive, I'm fairly sure he'd be happy to use the machines but goes to queue anyway, because it'll give him an excuse to slag off the banks some more.0 -
Surely, if a customer is content with their existing payment methods, it has got SFA to do with the bank how they conduct their own business, I too would have been annoyed if some Bank Cashier tried to tell me how I should conduct my affairs.
Surely their time would be better spent behind the glass, reducing queue lengths.
My major gripe with these so called " Account Reviews " is the termonology used by the banks, I wouldn't be so anti if they said it is a " Sales Pitch " from the outset.
It is the deceipt used by banks to get customers to attend that infuriates me.
You have a very strange attitude. It's precisely the bank's business to do this. And people paying credit cards in ways they may not realise would actually reduce queues.0 -
The point that you are missing is people choose to go to a supermarket to buy a product, they are not conned in by a sales pitch, under a deceitful pretext.
Banks are predominantly for the purpose of banking, or they should be IMO, not second rate insurance brokers etc.
Precisely how under your rules would banks be 'allowed' to make a profit?0 -

How I choose to use the available bank facilities is my business surely?0 -

It is not for any bank employee to tell their customers how to conduct their own affairs, tho' I know a lot of them think it is.:rolleyes:0 -

.
So if I choose to queue, I am now deemed stupid?
Remember, no queue, no job, back to stacking shelves for you ..0 -

As employees, not just bank ones, it is usually part of your job to promote/offer other services that you can provide.
Doing this, is called good customer service.
This is what usually happens when we "walk the queue". If we can even remove one person in the queue, it frees up space to help another.
In the case mentioned earlier of how you could pay your bill, I can think of at least 6 methods of paying a credit card bill - and 5 out of the 6 you wouldn't even need to go into a bank.Anything that I do say, is strictly my opinion
