    I feel I must add to this as I work in a high street bank, I do not like "telesales" for obvious reasons and do anything to avoid this, however when talking to my customers, sometimes by consolidating etc... we can genuinly save them some money, its the banks that pay they're advisor's too much commission that give people like me who are trying to help customers a bad name. If I am giving a home insurance quote or a loan quote and I cant beat theyre current provider then I leave it as it will not be good service, not all of us get paid commission and believe it or not some of us (not all, granted) actually care about our customers.
