I can think of two banks where the share prices is doing very well compared to the others.

That's not actually saying alot at the moment!
  • My bank does not need any govt bailout!!!!
Mine did, Thanks Sir Fred and Sir Tom, now called Laurel and Hardy. Thank you both for helping the shareprice lose loyal employees thousands and thousands of pounds invested in Sharesave schemes. Thank you Laurel and Hardy for buying ABN AMRO(Oh barclays employees--you must feel sooo jealous of the reported £20 billion pounds toxic debt that we have taken on). Thank you to Laurel and Hardy for quitting the bank. Good Riddance.

'Potentially', if you've not yet bought them? (isn't there an alternative to take cash (with interest added)...there was with my ex employers scheme).

Or 'actually', because you've hung on too long before disposing of them?

EDIT: And don't take this the wrong way Nattie, but "loyal employees" don't spend a large amount of their time helping customers take £m's (back) from their employer. ;)

In my opinion, HSBC are the bank to be with at the moment.

yorkshireboy I think she means more the employees who have been there for 20+ years and have got lots of shares through the sharesave and they are not pretty much worthless.

I thought it was more that the 'potential' to make money had been removed, because she said "thousands and thousands of pounds invested in Sharesave schemes"...the inference being the shares had not yet been purchased?

I understand what you are saying, poster hasn't replied to clarify but yes what you said would be correct if this what they meant, I took to mean invested in sharesave schemes and then got the shares at the other end.

Some people took what was called Profit related pay which amounted to 10% of gross yearly salary as shares each year RBS made profits. Apologies but the sharesave schemes that matured rather than the existing ones that can be got out of. My post was poor, but the share price nose dive was the issue of losing money for employees.

And for the record.......I have never worn a dress or a bra except for dramatic performances. I will never be able to give birth to a child but I can help a woman to do so with my manly instruments. I know natweststaffmember/nattie sounds very girlie but NWSM has always been and will always be MALE :D
