Great 'Work in a bank? What should we know' Hunt

As is blatantly obvious by recent events, by managing their businesses properly and keeping their greedy noses out of the sub prime markets.
You're not saying that though. All I've ever seen you do is demand that they give you absolutely everything you want with nothing in return, not even the slightest say-so in absolutely anything you wish to do using their facilities.0 -

No queue, I do something else, or I serve the customers who actually need to use the counter.
So why am I stupid to use a service that is provided by my bank?
That is surely my choice, not the choice of some bank cashier.:rolleyes:0 -

I do give them something in return, I let them hold my money, with very little interest given in return, they use that as they deem fit, that is what the whole banking business is based upon surely.
If they choose to use it unwisely, as they have in the recent past, that ain't my problem.0 -

Yeah, with that 2% base rate and the credit crunch which is restricting lending that money out, they're really rolling in it.If they choose to use it unwisely, as they have in the recent past, that ain't my problem.
You're the one that brought it up. And it has no relation whatsoever to the topic at hand.0 -

Queuing for 5-10 minutes to do something you could have done using a machine in no time at all is quite, quite stupid, IMO.
It's your choice, sure. But I'm not obliged to think it's anything other than bloody ridiculous, and the bank is not entirely obliged to indulge that choice.0 -

Well perhaps we need to look more closely at the root cause of this " credit crunch " then, and who got us all in this mess in the first place.
I read somewhere the other day that " Bankers " are now held in lower esteem than Estate Agents, little wonder really.;)0 -

You are entitled to your opinion of course, however I have not been notified that I cannot do it by HSBC, so until I am, I will choose to use whichever method I deem appropriate.
Of course if HSBC decide to remove that choice, I also have plenty of choices elsewhere.:rolleyes:0 -
This is what usually happens when we "walk the queue". If we can even remove one person in the queue, it frees up space to help another.
Perhaps your time would be better spent behind an additional counter, that would really be productive, instead of walking the queue, just annoying people.0 -

I want say that you are stupid because you choose to use the banks services you want to, but I think that if you choose to queue for 5-10 mins rather than to use an alternative method of payment then you have no right to complain about the queue.0
