Cubana Airlines being the national airline of Cuba?
Where from & to and for how long might be useful information
Hi - yes it is the national airline of Cuba, our delay was on a flight from Gatwick to Holguin with a three and half hour delay.
  • Has anyone heard off this company (claims4flights)and are they genuine at handling your claim against the airlines ?

As far as I can see they do not normally operate from the UK at present. In which case I doubt they have a Uk office.
Somehow I doubt they will take any notice of your claim and don't think it will be easy to take them to court.

In 2010 I flew with Singapore airlines from heathrow to Sydney. The connecting flight was from Singapore and due to a tech issue with their new Airbus, the flight was delayed and arrived in Sydney over 5 hours late. Have I a right to claim under EU261?

This was not a stop over in Singapore.

I appreciate any advice that can be given.
    Thanks.

no, your delayed flight was not starting in the EU and not an EU airline so no compensation due

Did you have two SQ flight numbers LHR-SIN and SIN-SYD or one flight number LHR-SYD?

Yeah, it was two flight numbers (SQ321 and 221). But the ticket was LHR to SYD. I was able to check in online for the 2 flights together as opposed to two separate flights. Their online check in opens 48hrs before the flight and even though the SIN-SYD was 60hrs away, I was able to check in for that.

Any advice as to what I do next - sent a letter to Cubana Airlines relating to a delay we had in September 2010 on 4 February, didn't get a response, so emailed letter to them, still no response. As they are refusing to even acknowledge my letter, what is the next course of action I should take?

Their website lists the following London office:

    Reino Unido
Dir: Unit 50, Skyline Village Limeharbour Road, Docklands
    Londres E14 9TS, Inglaterra
    Phone: 44(0)20 7538 5933
    Fax: 44(0)20 7093 1538
    E-mail: cubanasales@cubanacan.co.uk

If that's their own office, serve proceedings there, get a judgment and send bailiffs into that office to seize everything in it (except the staff of course!)
